What do I do if I feel like dressing like a dude one day and a chick another day? T__T My wallet can't handle all those Fantasias, mang! We're apart of a place where you can choose your own gender and be happy by making yourself, so I do not see the reason why we must kill all gender specific armor. If you want to dress as a female or a male simply switch to that sex. That is my reason why I am never for this idea. I won't stand in your way. Just dropping in my 2 cents on why I am not supporting it.

This lighthearted version of the argument is certainly better for my stress levels.
Yes, for once I got lucky with fashion! I love your Au Ra boy too, their wasp waists give some cute glamour options
To continue the thread's intended theme, I dug into my retainers and decided to try my take on the first look Lukha tried out.
I'm wearing a skirt but it sort of vanished into the gown.

Go femroe like I did. You'll never go back.
Unless I get my hands on the butler suit. Then its back to fantasia roulette for me.
I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM. YOU HAVE PROBLEM! *sets this thread on fire and runs*

:: Douses fire with Fluid Aura:: None of that, now.
Today's look is a more practical adventuring ensemble in subdued colors, that still manages to be sexy with a little flash of thigh:
Lukh'a doesn't look quite as good in that top as Rokke's Au Ra gentleman, but I think he'll do.
I love the colors you picked for your Swansgrace set, Serilda! I can only get away with the metalic colors as accents, mostly, but the gold goes really nicely with your character's coloring <3.
Doing my best to just ignore the people trying to turn this into a debate thread. It's been debated to death in other threads and we just go around and around and get no where, so why bother, screenshots are more fun than arguing

Stupid question, but do images automatically resize when you hyperlink them? I've always wondered how people get their pictures to fit just right in the comment box.

loreleidiangelo: I believe they automatically resize, at least if you use imgur for the pictures.
Lukha: Your Miqo'te has a different kind of appeal with his softer, cuter face; I can't really pull off most colours as they make me look like a zombie so it's a double-edged sword
A whole bunch of flame posts vanished (it wasn't me) so I guess this means that the powers that be don't mind the campaign but dislike the RL slurs. Which is good.
Mention has been made of the upcoming Edda glamour and how it's most likely going to be female-only. I don't like the sound of that! There's no real difference between putting a guy in Edda's costume and putting them in the AST AF set.
I think my Elezen pulls it off well (he certainly looks happy enough), but I know there are a lot of people with more rugged-looking male characters who weren't happy with the aesthetic. Better to use completely optional glamours for that kind of thing, in my opinion, so I'm hoping Edda isn't locked at all.

It might also be a cultural factor as well. Not as many male crossdressers in Japan compared to this game's Western audiences last I checked.
Would love to see the development-based response for why such restrictions are implemented though. Seems a bit silly to protest against the issue when there's little to no knowledge of why the issue is even a thing in the first place.

That's one of the points we're trying to make with this thread, really. If they're so dead-set against crossdressing (they aren't), why is it so easy to wear clothes which were blatantly designed for the opposite gender? It's also sort of fun to dress up instead of arguing in words alone
I'm 100% convinced that the restriction is based on thoughtlessness rather than malice. Someone on the team likes tomboys and they forgot to consider the opposite scenario also exists in this world.

There's no difference between a frilly dress adorned with roses and the above robes? Right...I think my Elezen pulls it off well (he certainly looks happy enough), but I know there are a lot of people with more rugged-looking male characters who weren't happy with the aesthetic. Better to use completely optional glamours for that kind of thing, in my opinion, so I'm hoping Edda isn't locked at all.
