I'm not really sure why people feel the need to point out something is an opinion whenever they disagree as though they've somehow scored points. Obviously virtually everything posted in this thread is going to be purely subjective, given the subject matter. I'd like to think we could just take for granted that people understand the difference without having to have it explicitly stated each and every time or making asinine posts to that effect.


Anyway, apparently it is a contest for game inclusion. I don't especially like any of the designs, but this one is OK:

I don't like the physical design of the top and the head piece is kind of lame, but the patterns and theme are OK.

My problem with most of these entries is that they are female-only. Under these circunstances, if I were a dev, I would just pick either a neutral gender outfit or one that has both genders designed. There are many I personally love, so I will leave this in the hands of the dev. team and pray for the best.

no doubt, its a serious piece of art and I do not intend to discredit the artist, but I definitely dont want to see this win.

No. please no more. I want new ideas for gear/glams.

I like it with Averax too, reminds me of stuff I might find in Howel's room (Ghibli), I want all things like that lol. Awesome colors and details would prefer to use over the current robe options.

What would these be winning? Getting added into the game? Neither one actually looks all that interesting. Some of the ones linked after the OP seem to just retread well-worn ground.

well, they were interesting enough to have made it into the finals. also, there are 100s of thousands of players playing this game. i'm pretty sure some of them have found those 2 interesting enough

I'm also pretty against more nun outfits for healers/casters, but there is something about that outfit though...

The colors, the shape, the frills, the tiny details. I'd be less object to more robes if they were like this.

Yea I get you. But to me, it just looks like World of Darkness Heal/Caster Set 2.0
You have to think of how it will look once its implemented. They may apply some changes to it which might end up in a more simplistic design, possibly at the expense of those details you're so fond of :/



In general, a lot of entries look phenomenally boring or like a redo of already existing gear. NOW, I do not mean to say all of them are bad, but it does disappoint to see that a lot of entries they picked show that a lot of people obviously want more gear thats similar to already existing gear and I dont get why :/ You'd think there'd be finally a chance to see something thats a bit different from the usual things we get.

I feel like this Caster Gear is gender-neutral enough that they could make appropriate adjustments for all races/men and women.
