Broomstick Lux for DRG plz!
I really do hope the Chicken Knife and Kettle fists are a sign of more joke weapons in the future.
Magazines/manga/silly books for SCH/SMN (or a copy of Encyclopedia Eorzea)
Giant frying pan for DRK!
Even series staples like Excalipoor, or the numerous joke weapons in FFVII.
Seems like prime Gold Saucer material to me.![]()

I'm sorry to inform you, but next to the Ragnarok in FFV, the Chicken Knife is actually the strongest weapon in the game with its only draw back being that you have a chance to run from a battle (and only if you use the "Attack" command. So if you have "Aim" or some other ability that isn't "Attack", RIP enemies). Which against bosses is a moot point. Since FFV it has actually appeared a couple more times as a powerful dagger. So, no. It's not a joke weapon. It's comical, yes, but its not a joke weapon.
More on topic though: Yes, joke weapons please. Can Dragoon or Samurai maybe get Cid/Chrono's mop?

MNK has the Mog fists already, there is a precedent for something like this.

I would love to be a frying pan wielding DRK, but unfortunately I think it might not be possible given some of the current in-game poses; in particular, the female DRK pose stands with their hands/arms on the cross guard of their sword, with the sword standing upright in front of them. Unless the frying pan was somehow massively tall and wide, I don't see how they could get this pose to work with it, and I somewhat doubt they'd totally change an animation just for one joke weapon.
But I don't think there'd be anything stopping WAR from having a frying pan, since their axes can already be pretty short. Also, just imagine Steel Cyclone with a frying pan... XD
As for DRK, I think it would be funny to have a nail bat. I mean, Cloud had one in FFVII, so they've got a Final Fantasy history, right? Add that pompadour haircut and I can finally be the biker gang member I've always dreamed of being...
Poor BRD would probably end up with something like this:

Golden Saucer could use some more visits I suppose. Hopefully they're not really weird (avoid carbon copies of already awkward real life objects changed into weapons for example, no fire extinguisher weapon lol).
While maybe not simple joke weapons it could be an interesting promotion of GS if there was some sort of Golden Saucer relic quest lol, leading to an interesting yet clearly non-typical weapon for that job (or other sort of item). Adding the activities of the GS into the requirements (like Card game, Verminion, Chocobo, GATEs, mini games, but for the PvP possible options be careful, perhaps only PvE or have a PvE option). Just a change to the regular grind for most efficient MGP vs doing a series of varying content and knowing you're not being inefficient, the MGP Gold Stamp used to purchase special items~!.
New Epic "Relic" Items like:
- Manderville Run (a mount): https://youtu.be/VbEan62z8RA?t=2m9s
- Nael Van Flying Spear (a mount, could also use the sword instead): https://youtu.be/btgElRhD138?t=4m10s , https://youtu.be/KoR11icka1g?t=20m1s
- Goldsmith LB (changes your LB animation): https://youtu.be/SzO40Y0mbgk?t=10m33s , https://youtu.be/KoR11icka1g?t=7m42s
- And actually to the thread we have a frying pan we could refrence too; The Julyan Frying Pan: https://youtu.be/aG7jUNhDX0Q?t=47s

Encyclopedia Eorzea, that's an interesting idea! As a sch main, I would love to see some innovative silly weapon, sometimes the concept of books can be boring :PI really do hope the Chicken Knife and Kettle fists are a sign of more joke weapons in the future.
