30 min lockout can often be better. During the 30 min you can do other things like craft, gather, hunt, or play cards. So that 30 min can still be very productive, and if after that you get a 15 min run, you effectively have saved 15 min of your time. So this argument doesn't really work.

Having said that, please don't do this, because it is very selfish. Although, I have to admit that I am guilty of this occasionally. If i queue for low level roulette 30 min before raid time and got one of those that might take 45 min or more with multiple sprout players, i would just type sorry and leave.

The only time I ever leave a dungeon like that is if it's Aurum Vale. I hate that place with a burning passion.

I mean we can make this into a general thing, but I, the OP, asked about tanks specifically. Mostly because that's what I've seen the most, and it has the greatest impact on how long it takes to get a new party member.

There have been a few times where I queued for something I didn't mean to or forgot to change what I queued for and then just hit "Commence" on autopilot without actually looking at what was in the window. Then when I realized I made a mistake I just leave without a word.

If someone did that, I'd at least accept it if they said something like "whoops queued for the wrong thing, I gotta leave, sorry", since leaving without a word makes me think they're some impatient jerk.

I'm always too embarrassed to admit it when I do that. >_>

There was a common tactic in WoW where a DPS would queue with a tank or healer friend for something that has a stupidly long queue, only to have the tank/healer friend drop from the group the moment they got the DPS shortlisted through the queue. Hell, some tanks/healers actually SOLD this service to people for ingame gold.

    Could be that?

Aurum Vale you still reach the boss in 18 minutes unless players are bad.

never seen a 30 min dungeon run, and this is with slow killing dps.

My g/f never leaves a dungeon unless she is harassed, by members.

I never heard of that in WoW. That's pretty low and I hope it wouldn't happen here.
