Has anyone else noticed Yoshi's attatude at PAX?

I'm more inclined to crack it up to plain workload - they're probably not working a healthy 40 hour week. In one of the interviews someone else linked in another thread here on GD he said he'd like to give his team another break again and they probably need it. When was the last holiday? A year ago?

This...Yoshi P and his team when they first got their hands on this game probably didnt image how much the game would take off and seeing how him and his team works through the game and also outside of it i.e. these kinds of events it does become a full time job. Also remember though as a community we might disagree with some of the content and pacing, they as a team are trying their best to please a very large customer base which can take a toll on you.

If I were him I'd be more than annoyed. People complain about EVERYTHING. He can do nothing right in their eyes.

I'm also quite sick and tired with the Q&A always revolving about glamour. Never any questions on real content.

If you were in his position and kept getting asked obscure personal pet questions instead of broader more impactful questions, wouldn't you be getting irritated?

The entire "challenging" content has bit him in the posterior. Why would someone still ask for a new tank job for Stormblood when we're getting close to release and we've been told no new tank this time. And I know people want their butt sliders and gender independent clothing, but how many times does someone have to take prime question time to ask? Expansion is coming up, systems are being changed - ask something that more people want to hear about.

I also would loooove to see what any person here would feel if they was put in his shoes. Working long days and weeks, traveling the world and more, and then get bit with such hate or negativity.
I really think I would hang myself if I had his amount of stress and workload :/

In fact, what the hardcores want is really simple, content we can enjoy with long term rewards and meaningful progression. We encourage the casuals to get good in order to join us in our content, we strongly condemn the nerfing of content we enjoy for the sake of accessibility (i.e. content that was never meant to be accessible in the first place).

By "encouraging people to take part in your content" you mean removing progression for less skilled/commited players. You think that the only way to progress your character should be in YOUR content (muh raids). You complained over and over about how the Syrcus Tower, Hunts, Zodiac quests, Diadem and etc allowed the "scrubs" to progress their characters to your level.

What you want is a game like WoW where you have 4 times the damage of a non-raiding player due to set bonuses and overpowered trinkets, ruining the balance of every other content in the process and making it almost impossible to get into a group mid tier because "meaningful progression" means that nobody can catch up. You made Gordias become a thing and that did more damage than anything else in the game, you seem to forget that. You want the devs to develop content for the 1% and then force everyone on it, expecting that everyone will just eat that instead of simply quitting. Just give up already. If I was Yoshida I'd be tired of this crap too.

Any sane person gets tired of being required to answer stupid questions. You're very much forced to answer those questions on a stage like that; on the forums he can ignore these ideas.

Honestly, Yoshida said if you want some Stormblood answers, now is the time to ask it; I think he was more disappointed there was a lack of 4.0 questions and more of the same old rehashed inquiries. I wouldn't say he was frustrated, just entirely disappointed.

It could be a mix of just tired of hearing the same questions and complaints to just being flat out burned out from it all. He is trying to do the impossible of running a game without region specific tuning to try and please everyone on a global scale. Eventually it does wear a person down. Make a change to appeal to NA/EU then suddenly the JP region is upset. Try and fix it to make the JP region happy again and now the New Zealand audience or whatever is upset. You can't please the globe on one product forever in an MMO setting. I would say to give the games source codes to region specific developer studios, let them make the changes to suit whatever region they're in for the players of that region. It's far too late for that though, not without another game shut down and reboot. I feel now he's beginning to see maybe that he's in over his head in his ambitions.

That and also...he really needs to stop trying to be nice in regards to nerfing content and adjusting later content based on those nerfs. I lost count of how much content he nerfed due to complaints about its difficulty. Nothing was broke about the fights and its not his fault people don't seem to want to work together. No, he just went and changed them not thinking of the monster he created by doing so. The bee's on Demon Wall, Siren, the fight with that dragon on the bridge pre-expansion. Perfectly fine fights if people work together. He really needs to put his foot down and say "no, this is the fight and this is how it will always be, if you can't clear it then explore self improvement." I get trying to be nice but eventually too much coodling of the player base leads to...well this...burn out.
