Make a Friend Megathread!

Willing to transfer? Not at the moment, wait and see
Personal Interests: Many, but they rotate in an out of favor. Think old school nerd. Plus I have a 14 year old rat terrier.
Play schedule: Usually Mon-Thu 7-10:30 Eastern US Time, Friday 7-??, and Weekends, but some days/weeks I may be on less or not at all
Open to voice chat? In some games I jump on to listen to whoever is leading a group but I don't really say anything.
What kind of gamer are you: Completionist/Intense Casual. If I have time and support I might approach midcore, but that's rare these days. I do want to try to experience as much of the game as possible, but I accept that some parts of it may be beyond my gear and skill level as well as time available.
Main class?: SCH, plus I need to work on my original job (WHM). Those are the two I did last spring when I got the game. Just now returning after being away since sometime in June of last year.
Dislikes: People who are too eagerly annoying or too easily annoyed. I don't mind banter that I may not find interesting because no one is going to be into every topic, but people who just want drama or shock value are on my black list.
Goals for the game: 1) Getting up to speed with gear and rotations so that I can catch up with the main story, my SCH is currently only i203; 2) completing new content and unlocking achievements while having fun with others; 3) enjoying the music, art assets, etc of this game; 4) seeing people I know online and sending a o/ to them even if we are too busy doing our own things to chat
What kind of friendship are you looking for? Very Casual. People who think the goals above and rat terriers are cool. And fezzes. Must think fezzes are cool.
Things you would like to do with the new friend(s)? Send a O/ or what not. Run content. I don't know for sure, it would depend on the friend.
Etc: I am open to adding people to my friends list, but as per the "Very Casual" answer above and my time constraints, if people are looking for someone to chat a lot with every day or run many hours of content with on weeknights, I might not be the ideal choice. If you are in a fun/friendly linkshell that would also work. Thanks for reading.

Personal Interests: Too many with too little time. Reading and video games. Meeting friendly people and learning about new things - I used to discuss science, ideas about life and meaning, travel, other cultures, etc. online as a kind of hobby. Or sometimes I would jump into a conversation about a new interesting t.v. show or movie. Long time fan of sci fi and fantasy, and while I like some anime my exposure has been limited... *blah blah blah blah*... And many years ago I was adopted by a rat terrier who will turn 16 years old in February.

What kind of gamer are you: Completionist/Explorer I guess. Mostly though I just want to try fun things with people who aren't... difficult.
Main class?: WHM at the moment, SCH is also up there. Trying to move more into crafting as well.

Goals for the game: 1) Continuing to gain experience and confidence as a healer (I tend to do the basic roulettes up to the level 70 one and might try moving up to expert soon);
2) completing new content and unlocking achievements while having fun with others (wouldn't mind farming pets or mounts at some point);
3) enjoying the music, art assets, etc of this game;
4) seeing people I know online and sending a o/ to them even if we are too busy doing our own things to chat
What kind of friendship are you looking for? People who think the goals above sound interesting and that rat terriers are cool. Really though I would say no pressure/casual I guess. I don't feel the need to try to talk to all the people on a game's friend list every time I log in, but it can be nice to ask for/offer advice or help or say hello from time to time, or go run some kind of content.
Things you would like to do with the new friend(s)? It could vary from something small like chatting once in a while to running content, based on how it worked out. I'm still learning/exploring the game after 2 1/2 years, not in any particular hurry. It's enough to find some time now and again to play and make progress towards a goal or two.
