People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I agree that this is unfair. They should have to level the same as everyone else.
I've searched around a bit and couldn't find anything addressing this, so I wanted to just suggest to SE to nerf all leves, story quests, collectibles, etc for battle classes and crafting/gathering classes from PRE lvl 61-70 so that they cannot contribute to experience gained after level 60. This would ensure that people who prepare stacks of collectibles for gathering/crafting, for example, cannot instantly hit level 70 with turn ins, which would give them a huge leg up. If it's already a planned feature then great, if not then it should be (Heavensward had a similar problem where story quests/leves werent nerfed until a few hours after the patch went live, but some of the damage was done as people hit higher levels alot faster with pre-completed leves.

To be honest, it wasn't that difficult, it was somewhat time consuming, but didn't take much if you did as much as you could. Like I got everything to 60 by the start of 3.1, but if others don't play as much as I do, then it makes sense.

I would actually be surprised if they don't at least nerf Collectibles exp.
Just hitting the odd-hour nodes, and just getting 2 per node, in one game day you are looking at over 3 mil exp for both miner and botanist. More as RNG smiles on you and you get additional items at any given node. Something tells me that either the exp requirements for SB leveling will be huge, or the Collectibles (and, presumably, other stuff) will get a nerf.
