Will Eorzea Rebuild?

This early on in the game (technically "pre-launch" for most), and here we are going full-on Armageddon on it. A bold move says I, and symbolic: Eorzea in Ashes; Reborn.

However, since most of the people who ever play this game will be coming in AFTER we've already moon-nuked the sh!t out of everything, do you think we'll see Eorzeans rebuild their land in the same "real-time" lore-development that we saw it demolished?

Not back into what it was, mind you, just... re-develop. Any long-term plans in the works? As expansions come out, maybe cities rebuild a bit - open new stuff? Areas that were blocked become cleared?

I'd like to see that, methinks.

No. The exact opposite of what you want will happen. I have no proof, but trust me, that's how it will be.

Ul'dah will be reborn. Now every NPC, shop and Guild will be in the magical corridor where the Market Wards are now.

I don't think it will be an all-out armageddon. I think the world outside the cities will be terraformed while the cities themselves will be opened up and reorganized/redesigned. If civilization was destroyed the Grand Companies probably wouldn't still be around nor would Limsa build a gigantic colosseum.

I'm gonna go ahead and say think New Vegas. The area around it is pretty much laid waste to, but Vegas itself stood up pretty well. Granted, there will most likely be a war going on between the Garleans and the Eorzeans, but it's something to consider.

The big catastrophe is happen -> End of FF XIV-1 -> FF XIV-2 start -> 10 years later ....

It all has to do with the aether and the primals I think. Eorzea being drained of it aether will see gigantic catastrophes happens that will reshape the land and the primals will also destroy many things. Maybe?

I'm think more on the Lines of this being, the New Opening CGI to the game, to be Quite honest...I'm leaning towards this route.. but it would be nice to see that sort of thing in-game as the Transition unfolds from 1.0 to 2.0
