Just waiting on the white knights to say "They're just testing the waters!" ...for the past 2-3 years.

I don't think those were white knights. "Testing the waters" is more of a warning than an attempt to excuse SE's behavior with the cash shop. But you're right... those waters have been tested and this is where we're at now.
