I say a 6 I'm waiting on more details espically on gear progression and changes to it. If it the same boring stats ect I won't be that heavily invested in doing it and I'll end up play a side mmo that does have it.

At the point though, tome gear would still be the grind choice that allows you more variance. It just, assuming equal times to get a "tome week's" worth of gear, means that roughly 6 weeks of farming will be obligatory in week one, in order to get all the dungeon gear before entering the new tier. The grind would be hugely inflated, the value of any other content forms almost entirely deflated. There's a slight problem with that...tome farming is (for now) mandatory.
Back when HW was released, you couldn't even enter Gordias without Law gear. Same for 3.2, with Midas and Eso gear, and, 3.4 with Creator and Lore gear, although I think crafted gear was released at the same time as Creator. And all of that while expert dungeon gear meant absolutely nothing.
So, here's an alternative idea, make expert dungeons drop the same ilvl as the corresponding uncapped tomestone. This way, you would have a RNG-drop way of gearing or a token farming way.
I could see this if it was some sort of Savage 4-man dungeon that's just slightly easier than the content it preps you for AND it had capped loot or severely tapering drop rates per week, but short of that, I think your suggestion lends itself to the opposite of your intentions.

-8/10 because i am not a glass-half-empty person with ludicrously high expectations for games that 'must' cater to my personal view of what the game should have.
New jobs, new areas, new content, new story. Seems to meet all the requirements for a good MMO expansion to me. Though if you are one of those people who expects a completely different game with each new expansion, you might be disappointed. You might also be playing the wrong type of game.
Why say disappointed at all be glad for what we will be getting. I'm not super hyped however that dose not mean that it is a bad thing. Games are for fun, if you are not having fun... Why are you playing!
I can't help myself!

Yes, but it wouldn't be the only choice.
Are you another person who mistake "uncapped" for "un-upgraded" ? In 3.0, you could farm Law Gear with leveling, trials and lvl-50 roulettes, meaning you didn't even have to tackle lvl 60 content. There's no reason to weekly cap or use savage-tier content to farm gear of the same ilvl.I could see this if it was some sort of Savage 4-man dungeon that's just slightly easier than the content it preps you for AND it had capped loot or severely tapering drop rates per week, but short of that, I think your suggestion lends itself to the opposite of your intentions.

I'm not disappointed that much. I'm interested in the story and Samurai tho. I am a little sad with no new race nor Blue Mage.

5/10.
After learning Ala Mihgan history, I have no interest in joining their "revolution" voluntarily or not. A greatly Oriental half of the expansion is not exactly new or refreshing seeing as Mists of Pandaria wasn't all that long ago + various other very Japanese locale-themed games lately. Seems too sudden. Would be nice to put some faces to the Garlean bogeymen though.
Then again I had very little interest in Ishgard either being full of stuck-up zealot elves, but the campaign was a pretty nice experience.
I'm ok with being pleasantly surprised, so as long as the gameplay is fun and continues to improve the score means nothing. Just not a lot of hype.

So I'm confused here. Is 1 = Completely dissapointed? Or is 1 = Totally looking forward to it?

Mists of Pandaria was 4 years ago. How long exactly are other games supposed to wait before they're allowed to have Japanese themed locales? Also I wasn't aware that there was a quota for how many are allowed to exist at the same time?
Personally I'm pretty excited about Stormblood. I have no need for the game to change radically - I know what I like and FFXIV has been pretty in line with it so far, so I wouldn't be at all disappointed if the new expansion brought more of the same.![]()
