People gotta understand that you have to use clear words and phrases so they can translate easier. Bogging down your question with big, pointless words just adds confusion, talking in a circle will add confusion, and using unclear phrasing will add confusion

I'm not sure how the question was asked, but it should have been asked as "Could clothing items like the hempen undershirt and hempen shorts not have racially locked appearances?"

Why are people so fixated on underwear? What is it with people who want to run their character around in their underwear, which as far as I can see is the only time these pieces of clothing will ever be seen?

Frankly it's a huge non-issue as far as I can see, I don't see why SE bothered to make any changes to it, this 'feature' adds nothing whatsoever to the game.

The Hempen equipment are glamour gear that are meant to resemble loungewear/lingerie/undergarments of various kinds. There's only one set for each gender, but depending on race they have wildly different looks. Some of those looks are not very underwear-like at all, and would provide some marvelous glamour opportunities - if only those looks could be applied to other races. For example, the Elezen female Hempen Camise look resembles a tube top with long, detached sleeves. That look would go great with a lot of outfits - but currently, only Elezen females can use it.

This thread is not talking about the smallclothes that appear on your character when your character is not equipped with any gear - however Yoshi P apparently thinks that IS what folks are talking about. If that is the case, it is a misinterpretation on his part that folks would like to see corrected.

Just ask the devs: "Is it possible to split up the race specific gear models of the 1.0 hempen underwears from the shared gear item to give each model it's own gear item like it was during 1.0 (example: Miquo'te Halftop and Elezeen Bodice)?"

In the Q&A it was asked if they plan to remove racial restrictions for haircuts and hempen sets. The haircuts part of the question got a normal answer like "we don't want to give all the haircuts to everybody", but then when talking about the hempen gear Yoshi was talking about ID0 and ID1 and how ID0 was the character's "skin" and couldn't be changed and ID1 is normal gear, which sounds like he thought the question was about the underwear appearance of a naked character and didn't make any sense as a response about hempen gear.

I agree with you to a point. However those that claim this is a way to ask for more content are dressing up a fairly simple statement. Want to make sure SE understands your desire? Don't mince words and say What you want. "I want to wear the underwear of the other races regardless of my own race/gender!" I mean if you want it you should say it clearly right?

They may have misunderstood the details of the request but imo Yoshi seemed fairly curt in his replies, weather it was gear options, character creation expansion, pet control options, ect... By and far it seemed like the over blown sense of entitlement may be wearing on him and the dev team. However i could be completely wrong, it's not like there's a new dozen request threads everyday...

I think the question was mistranslated. I, too, have wanted to wear the pretty Auri camise on my Hyur. However I have a feeling it's not something they will unlock.

But still, they misunderstood the question. People weren't asking about underwear; they were asking about the hempen sets.
