I would actually love an underwear slot. It's more realistic, but making all underwear sets available for all races should be first.

1.0 actually had two undergarment slots. They were removed going in to 2.0 and really they didn't ever do much. There was a (very slight) upgraded set of undergarments people could wear in the mid 20s but they didn't look any different.
This. If you think we have gear bloat now, imagine one earring per ear, two undergarments, and I think one bracelet per arm as well. Imagine having to balance an armoury chest for that.
Pro DPS tactic: Big glowing orange AOE = "Stand here to boost your DPS!"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they mention expanding the armory chest anyway? Not that I would want to grind for two earrings and two bracelets...
That being said, FFXIV's glamour game would surpass what you could do in Dragon's Dogma if we still had underclothes/underwear as an equipment slot.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Different colors though! But yeah, the biggest hassle I remember from under ware in those days was it fell in with normal gear degradation...It was a wee bit embarrassing asking others to repair your under ware >_>
It allowed to wear different underwears (example the hempen set or bikini) under the clothes.
In ARR this can be usefull if you wear some mini skirts that show the underpants (like the female Miqo'te RSE)
Where does it say that SE will cater to every cry of the people (which they do a lot of btw, not always for the best)? I guess this isn't a productive post, but i get on here and all i see is crying everywhere, and i see people getting what they actually wanted and then proceed to cry about something else. If you want something bad enough then go change your race, or play another game. How can they screw something up that they did not have to do in the first place?
No, this thread has nothing to do with whether they carry out the suggestion or not. It's about the fact that when answering the question, it was clear Yoshi didn't know what the question was about. There's another thread for arguing over whether providing this gear for all races would be good or bad. This thread is simply about what gear it was that was being requested and why Yoshi didn't understand the question.
This thread is about Yoshi's answer not matching a question that was asked. Pointing out that he did it in more than just this one case is certainly more relevant than all the posts here talking about whether people do or don't like the suggestion. (Or did you forget there what this thread is about. You might want to check that before accusing other people of being off-topic.)Your post is irrelevant to the thread, obvious troll is obvious.
But in this case, it's not about which question they address, it's about answering a question without understanding what the question is.
No. That's how it used to work in a different game. We aren't playing 1.0 any more, and it's not 1.0's former mechanics that were the topic of that question and answer session. In the game that currently exists, the Hempen sets are simply gear that take the same body and legs slots as any other body and legs gear does. The extra slots that used to change the appearance of your underwear no longer exist, so there would be no reason to have questions about them.The hempen set is /classified/ as underwear. That's what he was talking about having to switch the slots. When you wear the hempen set in 1.0 it changed what your underwear looked like and that has not changed. When you wear the hempen set it looks like it takes a slot but essentially just changes what your underwear looks like.
They don't need to cater to every request, but it's aggravating when they don't even understand what those requests are. If they understand the request and decide it's not worth the time/effort, that would be a completely different matter. But when their answers don't pertain to the questions they're given in answer to (whether it's racial unlocking of hempen sets, or difficulty of dungeons and trials, or any other question), that leaves people feeling they're not being heard, even on the one occasion that exists for the sake of dialog between us and the devs.
I asked for the awful looking underwear and weird sandals on bare feet to be changed, actually. I guess I'm nobody.![]()
