When Stormblood hits, are you leaving Tank/Healer roles to become a DPS?

A quick look at the poll results; at the 476 vote mark 39% of voters will remain as a tank/healer, 24% will swap to dps, 18% will play both and 19% are undecided. I find it noteworthy that one in four tanks/healers are planning on swapping to dps completely and I think it will probably have effects on queue times.



If there is conflicting information that's unfortunate, because it allows people to develop expectations that don't match what's coming. However I don't think the classification of "ranged caster" and INT gear necessarily mean it can't play like a hybrid. We might both be right.

This is one case where I'd love to be wrong. A RDM has traditionally been a melee/ caster and I would love for it to be that way.

Even if I was considering changing my main to one of these two jobs, I would have to put a fair amount of time in before making that choice. As of right now though, I have next to zero interest in both jobs, and DPS jobs in general. I am, and always will be a healer. Dabbling in other jobs has only made me realize how true this is.

I'm still going to main tank for raids, however even now I rarely do content outside of raid as a tank. Playing one role all the time is boring. Adding new DPS jobs won't change that, it might just change the DPS job I pick for roulettes.

I'm almost always playing WAR and AST/WHM, but i'll probably give up BRD on the side. for either RDM or SAM depending on how fun they are.

I'll probably try to play astro for heals, but most likely I'll get my BLM to 70 first. :P

I should add, after I get all caught up to HW, I want to have a main DPS, Heals, and Tank. So I'm sure I will be doing all 3 in Stormblood to help

I would really like for it to be like that. Based off the RDM from the original FF. Then I read the article where Yoshi was interviewed and said it was a ranged job, followed by articles saying RDM will wear blm/smn gear.

which article said RDM was going to wear blm/smn gear?
