Not really. Yoshida said, in overall the people who haven chosen to be AST or DRK were the same people, who played tank or healer before.

The 3 jobs of HW were to much to them in case of balancing.

So before they plan new jobs in the roles tank and healer, they will focus on balancing the existing one. There are sill issues in both roles.

Im a little salty at the reasoning behind not adding a new tank and healer, but whats done is done. Honestly, I am mostly salty due to the fact that the weebs got what they wanted. I didn't mind 2 dps, I just didn't want it to be samurai.

Anyway, with nothing new for the Tanks and Healers out there to get hyped about gameplay wise, I really hope we get to see some new abilities and such shown to us before Stormblood is actually out. I wanna be hyped like all the dps too

And for balancer: DPS has plenty of its own problems. MNK. And recently SMN and BLM too. Shouldn't SE work out DPS balance before adding new jobs?

Granted, we know the real reason. Popular appeal. DPS jobs are most popular and those are very popular jobs in the franchise they're adding. But let's not pretend any of the very weak excuses SE is using hold water.

Though it would be nice to see some eye catching tank armor for FEMALE tanks. We're not all into unisex tin cans you know.

TBH I'm main healer and I'm happy about NO new healing class, it took like 4 patches to balance AST/WHM/SCH and I think they want to be sure to not break everything.
I want a new healing class in the future, of course, but at the moment I'm fine and I prefer if they keep a good balance rather than giving us something new.

I know that it's a fantasy game, but "female armor" in video games is not what I would call functional.

Well, I think it makes sense. The people that play tanks/healers are already playing them. The ones that play DPS aren't going to switch (long term, they might level them) because its not what they enjoy. Other MMO's have proved it.

If you go by what you say there is need to be 0 new classes as people play what they play now be it bps tank or healer.
