Mentor Players Kicking newer players from Duty Ques for low DPS

Getting kicked once I would play it off as some pissy guy. It's quite rare but it does happen. Unlucky. But you say you got kicked twice in a row? The odds for that are just way too low. Maybe you should consider there might be really something wrong with your damage output.

Why everyone is so quick to defend the mentors that kicked for low dps I'll never understand. If someone is new to a dungeon you should never expect a speed run to happen like they do when all 4 players know the dungeon and know the game better. The fact that OP met the requirements for the dungeon/stated that they were new to the dungeon and maybe they should have checked the search info to know that it's their only level 60 before trying to pull for a speed run, not everyone, everywhere is going to be geared up and ready to speed through the dungeon in 10 minutes, there are things as new players. So before you all continue to tell OP that it's their fault because they don't have all the cross class abilities they may need, or blame them for getting kicked because they're new to the game. Maybe you all should really take a look at the mentor that refused to actually be helpful to a new player as the crown states they should. SMH..

Actually...talking to a lot of lvl 60s ingame im finding this isnt at all rare with late or end game content...as stated in a earlier reply which you can read I stated I understand I dont have the 2 cross class abilities I need but I FULLY understand my role as DPS and I have watched guides on how to combo abilities and when to use Songs etc..just because I am lacking 2 abilities should not disqualify me from enjoying late game content. I have both chat logs saved and sent to a GM which will showcase what I am talking about. If I meet the min requirements for an instance I should be able to play it. So what if a dungeon takes 5 more minutes. Grow up

Well I figure it happened like this. The mentors probably both queued mentor roulette and were expecting a guildhest or something super easy. So that could be a reason. As a mentor myself I try to not kick someone if they are new regardless of what the content is. The things I would side with however are you do need to get your extra dps skills. They are almost essential in 60 content. You might try the party finder to get players around your skill level, or join an fc who is willing to help.

Or..ya know...have mentors do what they're actually supposed to do and help the newer players that join the game instead of getting butt hurt because they can't cheese their way to getting their mounts. Yeah OP probably should get their cross class skills, however they are NOT absolutely freaking needed to run those dungeons, I had a bard who cleared A9S/A10S with me without B4B so saying that OP NEEDS those skills to pass a freaking level 60 MSQ dungeon is ridiculous, and secondly they said they were aware that they needed to get them. Mentors should have still not expected dungeon to be sped through with a new player.

So what you're telling me is that because a dungeon will take 5 more minutes its worth a kick and re que because I didnt have my cross skill abilities even tho I met the min requirements to even qie for it?

Whoa don't attack me. That's me giving you advice as a mentor. I'm telling you how to have an easier time. It takes maybe an hour or two of palace of the dead and you would have those skills. I mean take my advice or leave it. Was just trying to help.

It's a level 22 lancer for the skill you need, small investment to get it, but you just said the magic phrase. Playing the game you want to play it. Everyone else be damned, right? Unfortunately, that's what mentors are doing when they kick you, so that's hypocrisy.

You like to ride off of the 'New player' status but don't want to take advice from experienced players and spout stuff like'I am playing the game I want to play it'. No wonder you got kicked.

As Junseikei has told you and as someone who has played bard a crap load you WILL need those cross classes ESPECIALLY invigorate when it comes to big pulls or long fights without breaks for to recharge. This is where your DPS comes from. Research your classes bro. It is what I did when I was a duckling.

Now if I was a mentor I would of told you just that, but if I happened to get you in a dungeon again and you didn't take heed and we were failing dps checks, then yeah, I'm sorry but I'll initiate a vote kick against you.
