The New Chat Restriction in The Feast

How does saying "Unable to use chat", "Nice Job!", and killing them prove SE right in terms of banning chat. It got banned because of toxicity in chat right, yet there was minimum toxicity in chat lol. You just assume there was only flaming in in-game chat and no positivity. Spoiled people are the individuals who can't handle any form of confrontation. Fighting for the reinstitution of chat is only demonstrating how strongly the players feel about its implementation.

I keep harping on it so that it's not forgotten in all the hubris, but consider this thread came to be back in November, very soon after we learned they were going to - not considering - going to restrict the chat in the Feast. Fast forward 3 months and 40 pages, and our first and only response thus far was a very out of touch call for suggestions on improving Quick Chat, as if nothing within this 3 month and then-40 pages long thread had been seen at all. And the person who did so was one of the streamers yesterday. It's not fair, but people figuratively and literally killed the messenger. Why? Because 3 months and 40 pages didn't get our message relayed, apparently. And still, 30 pages later now, we have yet to receive a response that isn't as vague as "we're forwarding your suggestions to the dev team".

4 Months now.
70 Pages.
We know suggestions are being forwarded. We've made it clear we absolutely hate the chat restriction.
What is the Dev Team going to do about it?

Maybe I have better employers than you. Put simply, customers are told where they can complain. They are allowed to do that as much as they want. while you don't deem the behavior as passive aggressive and thinly veiled. It seemed hostile enough. If they treated any staff if this manor they would be asked to leave and not come back. The competition down the street would be happy to have them. You can generally get away with fairly miserable. Bosses don't generally take kindly to employees being disrespected in my life.

Here you are assuming again. I'm aware of the passive aggressive nature of the comments. "Unable to use chat" and "Nice Job!" are obviously alluding to the disaster that is quick chat and is about as passive aggressive as the chat got which is nothing and not even directly for the reps. It's being said to bring attention to the problem, not disrespecting the community reps. There were numerous questions asked on the topic, examples given, and conversations between the for-ban and against-ban (Note: Not with the reps because they barely talked on the subject). With the mass amount of knowledge, scenarios, and evidence of its failure, the only response was the link to this thread. Being as bad as the response was, it didn't even spark an outrage that would trigger people to start flaming them.

So you are aware that player base was less then stellar when interacting with basically customer service patsy's. I thought I was pretty clear that where I work that isn't tolerated by my employer. Also thought I was clear just as SE about the place, this exact thread (probably) about where to complain.

Maybe SE will just chalk it up to a passionate community. It could just as easily be portrayed from another angle.

I would say the community's anger is justified, even if their actions are not.

"Give us your feedback on the official forums!" . . . They actually said that again yesterday. But this very thread is the record of 4 months of us doing so, with 3 months of that entirely unanswered.

Complaints of the top 10 minion being unavailable to minion collectors? Answered within 10 days.
Complaints of a spoiler title (And mind you, this is a FAR less gameplay impacting issue)? Answered, DIRECTLY BY A DEV TEAM MEMBER, almost immediately, and fixed in the next hotfix.
Complaints about a major gameplay change that would and DID negatively affect said gameplay? Answered, finally, after 3 months, and AFTER the change was made.

Does that not bother you? Have you read this thread and seen just how long it's taken for barely an answer? I'll be the first to say there's better ways for the community to be heard. But frankly, they long since exhausted them and were still ignored.

I realized several live letters ago and a few Xmass's back. SE policy is to ignore stuff that is bad and they don't/can't deal with. The main forums have had way more complaints about housing to no avail. Hell I am not sure what got them to change their minds about GC's and frontlines that has also had way more complaints and threads over the years. Which was greeted by two lies(half truths?) lore and cheating. Inventory has had multiple complaints while they continue to overcharge for years. Not to mention any little half promise gets eaten up by most of the fan base as long as it doesn't directly effect them

So either they have shown that they care but in 2-3 years, or they don't? Lies, half truths misdirection, excuses, inequality (feel free to add). They are not going to respond in any truly gratifying matter. I can just see Fan Fest now man in the crowd "Players are unhappy with chat removal." Responses after thinking if they are going to answer "We are looking into a way that all players can enjoy the same playing experience. In a fun and open environment. We will be coming back to this in future seasons to see how it has worked." I actually think it would be more fun guessing what answer they will give then thinking they will give an answer.

The twitch and Balmung was spammed with nice job and unable to use chat. Other people were going out of their way to make sure they died repeatedly. That was all we could see, we could not even see the in game chat theysaw. They ran a little of frontlines and feast. Also some of the more bent out of shape PvPers were using the stream to try to chase them into matches. Lucky for them they pop almost instant and randomly. Unlucky for them they are not very good at some basic Frontlines system, (like don't mount and try to run through 8 players).

Kuso no spoiled people fail to see what is in front of them. And to AMA you and I fundamentally disagree about vote kick. I think a bunch of stuff I can't type. Because I have the personal restraint not to type stuff in chat that would cause problems. You refuse to see one has a tool if it is good or bad and one does not. No amount of "oh people get together and vote together", changes that is the way it is suppose to work. So no continued response to you is necessary, you will never agree one has an option and one does not. So we have no where forward to move.

You refuse to see, or understand, that the vote kick is also toxic and subject to abuse. PvE is more toxic then PvP. I just did a match that we lost because it was a WT because I could not tell the tank to stop running in. I could not tell someone heaving a second healer is a good idea. PvE needs the vote kick and chat before it being removed in PvP. PvE is scripted events, so you do not need chat there. What is chat used for you may ask? Healers flaming people over not dodging perfectly, Healers that brag about their dps because they have all 270 slot. Give snide comments whenever you try to help someone. You ignore this time and time again, and I do not know why. There is no "disagreement" you are simply not replying to what I am saying.

again, it is comments just for arguing. I believe Moonlite said is in disagreement of chat removal but then they type stuff like that

Also, Moonlite, I find it hypocrital to be calling out people for passive-aggressive, when you so just the same on these forums.

Some people are still flaming healers even with chat disabled. They use {Stopping healer}{Thank you} at the end of losing match. Meaning easily understandable 'stop healing, ty'. I also got a couple of insults in tells. So no, chat ban can't fix the problem.
