I'm complaining about how SE is going to split this community in half and make a lot of us lose faith in this company.

They are splitting it in two. Not in half. "Half" indicates 50/50. Split in two is more accurate because one side will be a majority over the other. And honestly, no side can claim which of the two is going to be greater until we actually get to that point.

This company can not afford to lose anymore customers. They need us to stay happy and stick around their world. They may just piss a lot of us off enough to not come back in 2.0.

They aren't making anything on the game with a bunch of free players. And with proper marketing and a solid E3 campaign, they can make up for the few people they "pissed off" enough to not come back.

1) Releasing a game years before it was ready, and then:
2) Charging people after they gave a free year before the game is really ready.

You're assuming that the game will be acceptable in 1.20. just like everyone thought ffxiv launch would bring an acceptable game. Which it didn't. How do you know SE will make good on their promises? This is the true definition of a fan boy. You give a company money because they promise you something, and on top of that it won't even come in a year. At best, with their track record, expect to see an acceptable game in a year and a half, maybe 2.
