Hmm.. well regardless weather or not I would of suggested it, history would undoubtedly repeat itself. Check out their track record of released event items and the majority of them ending up on the Mogstation. My suggesting it making you cringe should have no bearing on what will inevitably happen down the road. And that's IF they actually do something.

That gear looks cool, would prefer it to feature in the game FIRST before that mog station suggestion though :P. I know they're going to price it for whales so it'll be less insulting if they make it normal first (whale price = mount the price of an ENTIRE expansion XD).

Where we're going, we don't need roads.
