A strategy that works against each and every job in the game sans maybe PLD with HG up.

If that is a valid argument on the matter of job/role strength, then logically nothing can be OP or in need of a nerf until that strategy fails against them. So far, it only reliably failed against the guy with the pomanders, thus he was the only one ever in need of a nerf.

Interesting concept. Not very helpful for determining power differentials in practice, tho.

The whole point was that in a group/team environment, you need to work as a team. Teamwork can overcome "imbalances".

The game shouldn't be balanced around 1v1 (or players who are clueless - sorry), otherwise everything would be homogenized to a boring state.

Pvp is garbage anyway. I don't see how AST is even one bit overpowered there. I get rekt a lot solo when I play it.

Why aren't my friend and I invincible when we play FL with our ASTs??? Oh, I guess the people we fight actually know how to burst and use proper CC... Wait, why'd I get killed that last time in FL when I was being chased by a group of like 5? Huh... Oh! Regarding Discord, of course you're going to find it difficult to get a party at first. People typically would prefer grouping up with their friends that they know rather than people they have no clue about, because who knows what kind of person you are and how you play (though judging by your comments on AST I think I can see how you play). What do you expect? When I first started PvP it took me ages before someone invited me to play with them, and now I have a consistent group of friends that I have a blast playing with. And even then, with cross server PF there are *so* many opportunities for you to just randomly join a group without getting invited. The discord constantly has people posting "FL premade up on PF, pw is xxxx" for you to randomly join. Perhaps your timing was just always unfortunate. But don't get all hissy and start putting blanket statements on an entire group of people just because you couldn't get into a group yourself. Grow up.

Oh boy, another discord individual hurt by my comments and trying to slander me by suggesting im a bad player. Go be a bully else where. If you are worried about my blanket statemeny affecting you then you must mentally think your part of it so thats on you. Also you must be in a different xpf then me cause never a pug frontlines up ever when I play.

Also if your dying in frontlines as an AST you are kinda bad. They have the most advantage staying in back of their group to not get targeted.

You missed my whole point of ast and just typed out the typical garbage most others say. Their ability to constantly run away while insta shield healing them AND their teammates. CC is not a factor in this when they can spam the shield nonstop while running back to their team out of CC range. If the other healers wanted to heal on the go they had to use cooldowns and make themselves rooted to get a heal off otherwise and regen is mobile but not strong enough to stop a group of players. Healers had their cleric stance taken away to prevent them from helping dps but the AST still gets balance cards which make up far more then a healers dps would in the end. I honestly want to see balance removed from pvp as it creates a dps gap in feast/FLs depending on which healers you bring.

ATM besides the bubbles (and sleep) the whm/sch get to use they have nothing that is way better then the ast can produce. It doesnt have the raw healing of whm sure but the mobility/cards far makes up for that downside. I think they need a higher mp cost on their insta shields to reduce the huge spam of it. Also yeah sch pry needs buff cause we all know once the fairy is gone its game over.

Personal problems that people have with OP put aside, I think the devs went overboard with the last AST buffs. If anything, they need a nerf in PVE (especially when it comes to MP management).
