Considering I've seen people count out and list the number of games certain jobs have been in the games to prove a point, I won't challenge you to go through every live letter and tally up the number of mentions. Instead, I'll simply say that the number of comments by Developers is not an indication of greater demand by players, just a greater rate of reply by the developers.

The fact it was also initially decided as a job for the first expansion is also telling. You don't see them saying they were going to put in red mage for heavensward.

It does not really matter if Red Mage was more requested or vice versa, look at blu there is a slight possibility it may be added and yet i am fairly certain Dancer is far more requested then that job.
SE will do whatever they decide, not always want the fans want, lol

They've said "multiple news Jobs" in-person before, too. I believe it was deliberately translated as such at the Las Vegas fanfest. In addition, Yoshida invoked internet analysis of his t-shirts before showing his cryptic Spider-man one in Tokyo.

There should be absolutely no doubt in your mind that we're getting at least two new Jobs. They're not even being coy about it.

There's a huge difference between a translator writing up a forum post based off of what Yoshi-P said and the Square Enix marketing team coming up with a listing for the official product page.

LOL well you got to admit DoL is pretty low on the numbers compared to every other "disciple of" Im going to say that we might get 3 jobs, 2 being combat based and one being a DoL, if we get that many(yes i know dol and doh are classes, by definition, Even though literally and after 4.0 there wont be a distinction between the twon at least not in the sense there was in ARR)
