Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

I decided to draw a red mage viera.

I was inspired to draw this outfit and hair from a viera picture I had seen before.
Yoshi-P, please add viera!

Until they make the game less hostile towards the idea of having alt characters (ex: cross-character item/gil transfer, more achievements/rewards unlocked across account), I have little to no interest in new races at all. But yeah, if they do add a new race, I would like to see viera in the game. I'm a big fan of FFXII, Tactics, and the "Ivalice" flavour in general. A lot of things about the world of FFXIV often feel like "Ivalice lite" to me. Bring it on!

Oh, and if they do introduce viera, can Fran and Balthier please make a cameo appearance? Bonus points if Balthier meets Urianger, and makes a comment about his voice seeming odd.

For me personally, I know I'd definitely play a male viera if they looked as they do in the concept art. I'd probably make a female alt, too.

I do agree some of these restrictions are annoying, especially when you need to transfer money/items to your other characters. I really wish they would lift this restriction.
The cameo appearance idea could be pretty interesting.

I was thinking about it for a little while, and I might try to sketch out a landscape or something for where the viera may reside from in ffxiv. I'm really not good at drawing landscapes/caves/etc... or anything like that, but I thought it might be fun to attempt. If I like how it turns out, maybe I'll post it here. I'm still kinda iffy about doing it, so it's not a 100% thing. If you guys have any ideas for what the viera homeland may look like in ffxiv, throw some ideas at me.

I would rather have an actual beast type race, honestly. Everything we have so far are humanoids just with exaggerrated features such as horns or ears, or being tiny or tall or bulky.

As much as I would love a playable beast race, I think SE gave us a firm no at the American fanfest or something. Lore reasons and all that nonsense.

Beastmen glamour, on the other hand... (and not something like the Vanu Vanu and Gnath gear, but glamour that transforms us into Beastmen. Most SE would have to do is work on animations and weapons).

If SE can do that (and do it well), then I will stop being vocal against the Viera.

Ok, Ok, wait. We are getting "Return to Ivalice" as a raid...so viera are now lore friendly? They were in Ivalice...

Depends what time period. The original setting of Ivalice in FFT didn't have Viera or any mention of the said race, only in Advance did they then exist and then onward.
