Went into A11 Normal tonight, just trying to grind out some springs for pants on my WHM set. I go in as WHM, the other healer is a WHM too. Well, he died a few times, mechanics just got the better of him. We ended up wiping at like 4%. The other healer bailed, so I was feeling brave. I told the tank to go ahead and pull if he wanted, I would try to solo heal it so we wouldn't have to wait ages for a new healer.

We managed to get the clear on the first try with me solo healing on my i240 WHM and right as the boss keels over, another healer joins the party. XD

I left that run with 6 commendations.

My parties usually kill a sword at the edge. This is because during that mechanic, there is also one player marked out to be kicked away from the boss. If you don't have a wall at your back, you'll be kicked right back into an AoE that will explode too soon to do anything about it. In my case, it did about 25k to me, which is painful when you're a caster.

That's odd.. I always have time to get back to the middle after being knockbacked to edge of the arena. And i believe most party will choose to kill the middle sword because the boss would do that 3/4 arena attack after the aoes subside..

Whichever sword you kill, just leave tank as well as the boss a little distance away so that DPS can always leave the boss at their back to dodge the eye.
(What's more, when you do so, the person who get pushed would neither fall into a sword's AOE.)

If you are confident about your DPS, just kill the sword you feel comfortable from your position. It's not necessary to follow the tank---here they are pulling boss, not the adds.

I healed (mostly with just regen). No one died. Cleansed. DPS involved ridiculous holy spam, well-timed fluid auras, and keeping DoTs up while keeping mana around 40-60%. And my stoneskin only dropped with unavoidable damage. But it wasn't enough

Roulette threw me in Snowcloak. I know the instance well, which is why it is so easy for me to do the above opposed to an instance I don't know well, or first time running. Yet, our tank still had to throw it in my face that I wasn't casting Medica 2 enough. But why? No one other than him was taking damage and I didn't even need to cast cure all that much to keep him above my threshold, which is around 30-50% for known instances.

I actually liked this tank too. He unlike so many other tanks I have grouped up with in SC actually know how to quickly end the fight with the Yeti and Fenrir, and used his CDs very effectively. He was a really good tank and I figured maybe he is just use to Medica 2 always being up in content I am unfamiliar with? I guess I took it kind of hard because I recognized he was a good tank and I failed to leave an impression on him.

Had a particularly good run in Dun Scaith yesterday. Bosses were melting like an icecream in the summer sun, deaths were relatively low, Handmaiden wasn't early pulled, and not a single wipe. In the end, only one guy was new and Diabolos dropped me the aiming pants. To think I was subject to over an hour of suffering in there last friday.

Decided to do Trial Roulette with the gf, she on WAR and myself on DRK. Zurvan HM popped, she had only been in there on her WHM so I told her not to worry about a thing and that I'd MT and solo the adds. It all goes incredibly smoothly, compared to EX I feel like I'm taking no damage, even joked around with the party a bit. Was a good time. When we got out, I got 0 commendations while Selli got 6 for being a fancy DPS. I was kind of sad, lol.

100% sure they didn't give her commendations for being a dps.

That Turtle is surely a good source of tales
Got a dps that where on the turtle full time and when told to leave the turtle go to the ignited herbs, he answered us all to shut up and things have to be done as he does.

He killed the turtle, then said "see? done!", and then "Duty Failed". Too bad the duty kicks you out as soon as it fails, because I wanted to burn him alive (I'm BLM so I'm legit on that!).

Today I had the worst lag spike in Zurvan ex farm party and I kept dying x.x
I felt soooo bad about it. I want to apologize to the people I ran with.

The screen would freeze for me every now and then. What is worse is that I was a healer. I did not compline or anything. Just gave it few runs (3 runs) to see if it will resolve but before I could ask to re-log the party disbanded T^T
