I getting the same error ffxiv_dx11.exe. Its getting frustrating. This error was not happening prior to Patch 3.5. SE please fix this.

I've also been getting this error and not just in dx11, it's also happening through dx9 too, posted this to reddit here and found noone with the issue.

At first I thought it was an overlay issue as gameoverlayrend shows up in the list and it works fine when not launching through steam, but after turning the overlay off the crashing keeps happening, so now I'm really baffled as to what it could be.

Strange they say 8.1 is optimal to play on, (a lot of the people who I helped fix their problem probably wont respond that it worked, that's usually how helping people fix computer problems work)

Side note, uninstalling and completely deleting ALL files for ff14 (reason behind this is there are some folders that may be corrupted during patch installation) then reinstalling.. this would be a very temporary fix.
another side note, When I was working on this same problem but for windows 10 my computer also crashed on me and my harddrive went out (its a very very old harddrive) so I ended up doing a fresh wipe and reinstall of windows 10 (make sure to backup important folders like loved ones pictures onto a thumbdrive *its very easy to do*) re-installing windows actually purged my entire computer and I was able to actually see a lot of the icons and graphics on the LOG IN screen ( I wasn't able to before mostly because it runs from the internet explorer root and requires you to change a lot of the access options through ie (I didn't feel like doing it so I didn't) but it fixed it for me so that was plus. Long story short its really hard for me to pinpoint EXACTLY what is causing the issue for everyone because at the same time I did a full restore on my computer.

I am also getting these. After 2 days support asked me to chat support them. Guess what, I work for a living and can't possibly chat. Before 3.5, worked, after, broken. At LEAST just tell people if there is anything we can do short term. I can't run dungeons outside of FC members because with anyone else the random crashing gets me kicked. I unsubscribed from the service, but of course got charged the day after the patch, so they got my money for what might be a month of crap game play. You have a 24 hour game, get 24 hour service. Rant over.

I have tried both DX11 and DX9 and currently I cant get past the loading screen. I was able to play a little after the patch but was kicked out in Idlyshire and haven't been able to get back in since.
