The New Chat Restriction in The Feast

Largely, I use Detect for the mind game of it, and literally to discourage an enemy NIN from even trying it. I mean, if you're gonna hide, do it before you cross the bridge and into sight range. Every time I see it happen, I go sprinting toward where I last saw them and use Detect to expose them. Then I lure the now-angry NIN behind a wall where the grown ups healer can't see them, so we can. . . play.

I will literally unsub and quit this game if they do this. What a joke. Beyond what Stefan posted, the PvP crowd is a community. Communities talk to each other. Being muted and not even able to engage with that community is horrible, and it will feel like a solo game. No thank you.

Maybe this will boost numbers in party feast as that is now only place where you can properly communicate via voicecomms.

Unfortunately that mode is plagued by tome farmers and wintraders.

A living legend that will be universally missed in the primal data center. Until he inevitably comes back for season 4 or the expansion that is. Just like everyone else that quits.

Clearly the devs want to kill this mode do they can stop getting hate mail from all the snowflakes when they introduce "exclusive" Feast rewards.

I doubt anyone will stop doing feast because of this. If they want to quit it's just a coverstory, the real reason should be something else like getting bored or distracted by rl or getting into other games. People come and go all the time, that's not sad, that's natural and I'm actually glad they are not trapped into playing one game for 10 years.

I'm sure there are many that will, and even more that will just not take it seriously anymore. Imagine taking chat out of dungeons, raids? Communication is arguably the biggest part of an mmo. Taking that away is foolish, to say the least.
