I keep seeing people coming here and throwing around words like entitled and entitlement.

Let me clear up the confusion here.

Wanting does not equal feeling entitled to something.





While I can’t speak for everyone else here, I can speak for myself. I am not asking for these items because I have any sense of feeling like I deserve them. I am providing the feedback that was asked for during the live letter, showing the development team that I would like to have them.

You just want something someone else has even though they have less than they do already. Have we already forgotten that both the Korean and the Chinese versions of the game are region locked because their governments do not allow them to have the full unedited versions of the game that we in the NA/EU/JP regions have?

They get those items because they have less of a game than we do and they are not allowed to play ours at all.

Less than we do? I dont recall SE removing anything from the other regions but editing and changing them is different. In the end they have just as much as we do imo, so what exactly warrants them to have an exclusive item that no other region can't have?

You are correct, it all comes from the same developers, which means that the money that we (NA/EU/JP) are giving them through our subscription/payment for optional items via Mogstation are used to make those items and sold to the Chinese players. I understand that SE is company and it wants to make money, so why not release those items at the same time for the NA/EU/JP players?

They are most likely payed by the chinese cash shop.
The chinese players give the money to the chinese company and the chinese company give the money to SE.

Nice you dont have any proof for that argument (where the money comes from/goes). lol Who knows maybe their cash shop makes more money than ours. If you guys really want it play on chinese/korean server and be patches behind hf.

And we got a raid tier/primals + lots of other stuff that they currently dont have. Seems fair to me.

Thats because they are behind on the patch cycle, thats not the same as them not having the same amount of content as us. Do I have a lesser experience in a game just because I haven't gotten as far in as my friend? They have all the same planned content as us.

I would be pretty happy to be behind the patch cycle if it allows me to get those things.

Plus, they are behind but in the end they'll get everything we have, later yes, but still when we have to beg SE to consider allowing us to enjoy those features that are not supposed to come to our accounts at all just because we are "not late". Seems pretty unfair to me.

@Celef: I agree with you. Really they are only a little behind (and since they are region locked they dont really get a disadvantage from it because other than maybe seeing the video from the other versions, which you can avoid, all of those playing together will get it at the same time), they have the gold saucer and they have access to all the limited items from 1.0 and the limited pets too..So they will get there in time and yet SE creates lots of exclusive items for them..

They even get the butler sets in their mog station and on top of that even an exclusive chocobo outfit..yet a lot of European players will never get them thanks to the "nice" campaigns. There are already so many good looking exclusive items and yet at the same time SE does not manage to create the male version of the bunny outfit.

I will never understand the mentality of exclusive content in a video game but thats just me. I am more the type to have a game where everyone has the same chance to get something..if they work for it. Owning region locked items is really nothing to be proud of (imo) especially if you need to buy them or get them in a simple event.
