    I would like more bosses who take indirect damage, Like King Mog EX or the Atomos in WoD, or more complicated and weird bosses like Cerberus, where you have to take a status effect in order to fulfill certain mechanics. I'm getting tired of all these simple dance bosses, whale on the boss, dodge the AOE, stack to mitigate the big attack, rinse repeat till boss is dead. It's kinda bland after the millionth time so I'd much rather some more stuff like King Mog EX and Cerberus!

    I want to see more mechanics where pushing too much dps causes a wipe, while also causing a wipe if you don't do enough dps. I like working with dps based enrages. XD

    Mechanically, I liked a lot of what Turn 8 did. Tether mechanics that can be passed, "controlling" the tower mechanics (through pushing the activation of them), the Homing Missile mechanic, and Allagan Field <3. The invisible mines I can do without, and I liked the idea of the confusion mechanic but not necessarily on the MT. I did like how it gave the OT a bit more function in the fight though.

    The Savage version of Limit Cut is pretty cool in how it's handled too.

    OH! Before I forget, Lost City HM's Neuro Squarma! VERY cool mechanic!

    Limit Breaks. Design trials with more scripted LB3 occurrences, and not limited to just DPS. For example instead of a bubble barrier mechanic to protect from a boss's mega attack, Tank's LB3 buff replaces that mechanic. Or a Raid-wide Doom debuff that can only be dispelled with Healer LB3. Career tanks/healers would appreciate more of this

    I really loved the Second Coil of Bahamut, specifically turn 2 (T7). I never found the fight particularly hard, but it gave a large sense of dread to make sure you're careful to not accidentally hit stoned Renauds, or accidentally pick up a freshly spawned one with AoEs (so many Circle of Scorn accidents). The voice mechanic was easily handled, but made everyone aware they could potentially get the mechanic; the fight actually helped bolster raid awareness more than any other fight I could really think of. One mistake could utterly ruin the run- from the MT still being in Melusine's hitbox circle with voice and giving her stacks to people not paying attention to Shriek and petrifying the entire raid.

    Turn 3 of the same Coil (T8) was also immensely fun with the need to balance the environment's mechanics or face a raid wipe. I think A11S vaguely reminded me of this with babysitting towers in the final phase and probably why that's my favorite fight. I'd still like to see something along the lines of Allagan Field or Brain Jack once more.

    That being said, I'm glad to see the return of a Blighted Bouquet- like mechanic in A10S (Extreme Caution).

    I never did Savage T8, so are you referring to that, maybe?

    Haven't really done much of the older content but have they done something about the icons?
    I know Pre 3.1 I think it was or at the very end of 3.0 when fighting the Knights of the Round it introduced a stacking icon that screams "come here!" but before that you'll have fights like Ravana where the icon is white, doesn't really tell the player what it does and is not easily readable. In fact I remember a lot of Pre HW stuff having inconsistent icons, some icons even sharing icons with completely different mechanics attached to them.

    Yes, at some point in HW, they decided to streamline the symbols so people don't have to relearn them for every fight.
    Since then, they went back and retroactively adjusted the symbols for old content too so they are all the same.

    Personally, I think that takes a lot of the fun out of it; since before you went blind into it and had to first figure out what everything did and now it's just "go here, stay where you are, this aoe will spread, look away, gather together" because in every single fight it is the same, lowering the difficulty significantly just through that :/

    Until we invent a way to reach and strangle your duty-mates through the internet, making things easy visually is a good thing.
