You have stuck around long enough to register on these boards and then come back here in October to post in them. Seems to me you've been around an entire year which comes out roughly to about five and a quarter dollars per month of entertainment. You'd be hard pressed to come up with another form of entertainment that costs so little.

I enjoy ffxiv, and play it on a regular basis. And I will continue to do so. If 12.95 a month is going to break your budget, or do anything remotely close, yes, you should go, an re-evaluate your life choices, such as spending a fortune on a computer that can even hope to play ffxiv when you are in such financial crisis.

If SE needs money, which they do after sinking a fortune into ffxiv, to make ffxiv succeed, then sure, have $12.95 a month from me. In face, they can have $25.90, I'll keep my mule active too.

for 50 cent a day i can feed a starving chiled in africa.... hey why we on the topic of buying unfinished crap, i got some nice swamp land in down south u can rent for a mere 50 cent a day. in 10 years you should be able to live there, or build somthing.

By the way, if you are so eager to share your opinions with SE and help them improve the game, where are those comments? Statements like "FIX THE GAME PLZ" is not helpful to SE in the slightest. It's quite possible that they told him he HAS to start charging, I mean with the cost of things you can't simply just KEEP giving it away from free. I mean, yes, there are definitely still a lot of bugs that need to be worked out and they are working towards it. I, however; see that the game is going in the correct direction and will gladly pay to see it get there. It's about the bigger picture in my eyes.

maybe wada should take 1/4 of his 4.5 mill salary he recieved this year and put it towards fixing the game.

Well, I won't be staying. The reason is because I haven't been able to get into this game. I haven't found it immerse enough for it to keep my interest even when it's free. Though this game has improved, I've always felt it needed an absolute overhaul. It will get this overhaul, so I'll come back when the changes are made and gladly pay for it then.

All of my friends have said the same thing: the product isn't worth playing for free as it is right now. I cannot fathom why I should pay for this game when I can pay for FFXI or WoW or the new MMOs on the horizon. The game just can't compete, not even free.

Again, we'll all pop back in once 2.0 starts. I do hope this game succeeds, but I can't pay for a game I don't enjoy.
