I'm disappointed, why are we being punished for the cash shop?

Retainer space is already very limited and I'm paying a standard sub for a reason, regardless if you think it's a stretch or not, this is how all events worked until now. there's no reason why it should change to affect us like this, this doesn't affect people who want to buy from the cash shop, only people who earned the items.

Then put them on an alt retainer? 7 alts with 14 retainers = 98 tabs of space. Do the event on an alt, keep the items, and if you want the furniture to decorate at a later date, stick it in the FC house and pick it up. I don't understand why you'd need to stockpile so many if you weren't selling anyway.

You can get to 15 incredibly easily.

Not particularly, but I don't understand how this is affecting you negatively either, unless you were someone who made money off selling seasonal ornaments for absurd prices.

Getting 7 characters to 15 takes too many hours, it's easy but very very lengthy since you don't have armory bonus on your first character, nor access to PotD.

It's affecting me negatively because I can't store on my alts the items I earned, how is that hard to understand? And why do I have to convince you of this? If you aren't affected negatively by this why are you trying to roadblock this? I don't understand why the people of these forums are so obsessed with being contrarian in every single thread even if they admit it doesn't affect them, just move on and let those of us who care stay caring.

If you don't have any legitimate reason to oppose this then I'll just ignore your posts, I'm not interested in getting into a pointless argument.

I already explained why; I think this system is better, and I don't see how your desire to stockpile fifty snowdrifts for unknown reasons qualifies as an argument against it.

So you're complaining because you can't sell a tree on the MB on for 12 million gil anymore, and now all players have a shot at items from events they may have missed? A true travesty.

It's a valid complaint because SE is removing items from the in-game economy in order to charge real money for the content instead. It also coincidentally makes it harder to store your own seasonal items on an alt when they're out-of-season, meaning you now require more storage on your main character, which means more revenue for SE on extra retainer rentals.

And it's not like they couldn't make the items obtained in-game and the items purchased from the mogstation separate items with separate tradability rules; All the 'special' mogstation dyes have both tradable in-game and untradable mogstation versions, so clearly there isn't a technical issue preventing them from doing this. Though personally I wouldn't be entirely opposed to having them be the same and allowing the mogstation versions to be traded? I wouldn't be totally okay with it either, but I bet it would do more to hurt the illegitimate RMT market than anything SE has ever or will ever do.

I think the issue at hand is items purchased at the time of the event happening, they are not tradeable then, and now not tradeable after 6 months from the event's conclusion. Items can be traded via plopping them down in housing and picking them up on the other character, but cannot be traded via FC chest, while previous items were tradeable via FC chest.

I'm talking about newer seasonal items starting Make it Rain, not old seasonal items.

Ever since they started adding furnishing to the mog station newer seasonal items were added without the ability to be stored in the FC chest.

Try to store a Senior Sabotender Trophy, Firefly Lamp, Pumpkin Stew, Rising Pillar, Rising Banner, or any of the 3 furniture added in this Starlight.

I just stored the current Starlight Snowdrift event item within the FC chest without any issue.

This is what it looks for me, the items are greyed out and give an error message if tried to put in the chest
