    I think that our home areas should change with the seasons anyway. How could would it be to have the waterfall in Lavender Beds frozen for the Eorzean winter?

    I would love this because I have an igloo and my house is in the goblet. It feels a little silly having an igloo when I live in the desert.

    Just had a thought - it must be seasonal. It shouldn't be possible to keep snow all year to prevent things getting silly. To me it would be best if it was automatic & followed the theoretical seasons we already have.

    That may well happen when server upgrades & client upgrades happen come 4.0. There's no reason to be the Dog in the Manger about it.

    It has been suggested a few times in the past, 100's upon 100's of excellent suggestions for housing have been, including this one, sadly 99% are not implemented. And we are met with dead silence regarding most.

    I agree with op and all the past suggestions!!

    **housing in it current state is too basic and quite boring. Adopting more complex choices for us and allowing us to achieve what we can visualize would be a step in the right direction..a leap actually.**

    Adopt Rift UI and all the abilities to build, actually build creations without the punishments of destruction and billion gil repurchases with miniscule item limits and housing would at least begin to be competitive to other games...finally being enjoyable and creative.

    I cant believe the item limit is so incredibly small after years Oo..se should feel embarrassed tbh.

    They need to allow the dying of more interior fixtures like wallpaper and flooring. Not sure why that isn't an option already at this point. And yeah snow as a option would be nice although it'll look somewhat funny if the region around your house had none.

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
