Anyone ever got turn off to play certain class just because their aesthetic?

So my friends finally decide to try this game, one of them always the archer class in every mmo so naturally he pick the archer/brd

And 30 minutes later i found him as gladiator, he said he switch in instant after he saw the cutscene where his char "decking a very flamboyant and fabulous garment taking aim to someone in black outfit"

I know people got turn off to certain thing when they play a games but, never i saw one because of the armor, and i did explain him about the glamour system.

I mean i do have my own like how i dont like some of the monk attack animation and ninja Who spin and jump like mental case, but thats not stopping me lol

How about you guys?

Didn't stop me either, but for the longest time I never touched Warrior because I don't like axes

This is literally the only reason I do not play MCH. I LOVE ranged classes. I was hyped we got another one with HW.
But I absolutely HATE anything Steampunk, guns in general, the sound effects of the class, etc.

So while my inner completionist will get it to 60 half a day before servers go down for Stormblood, I absolutely hate the experience.
Actually, it is literally the only class I have not yet managed to get even to 50. And that's despite it being genuinely fun to play mechanics-wise,
something I can NOT say about other classes like WAR or DRG that I have at 50 and 60 respectively

Oh, also didn't play MNK past 50 for the longest time because I didn't like it, and a simple combination of T-Shirt + Emperor's fist changed that.
Aestethics play a huge role in liking/disliking a class, at least for me ^^°

Its a major issue for me , for instance I will not play a melee class on my main because I feel its to savage how they stand , doesnt fit with my role play. Ive picked eight class and I think they fit well together, whm/pali, blm/drk, sum,sch and bard,astro. I have made alts just to play these other classes and I honestly dono if ill ever play mch, they just seem so out of place in the game but maybe thats just me. And for the longest I wouldnt play archaist because I couldnt get behidn attack with a book but the heals ended up looking cool so I got use to it. But aesthetics are very important to me important enough to where I wouldnt play all class on one character because they just really dont fit together in my opinion.

I always rofl when I play brd (my main is mch), because his legs.. His legs! They spin 360 around when he does some skills! It has been since 3.0 and they still haven't fixed that crap.

Quite honestly, the only reason I don't like GLD is cause they have a shield. I don't like using a shield

i was really into Sch but i was tired of all my gear being girly dresses and robes. i just switched to war. cant beat sexy plate armour.

Finally found the monk animation name that i dont like, true strike and dragon kick, it look so dumb for me the dragon kick more like a break dance kick.

And ninja... Why? Mutilate? Nice 1 2 slash nah need more style let me do a backflip sommersault for no reason wtf lol

I avoided WAR for the longest time because I'm not a fan of axes. PLD went pretty slow as well due to the shield and the general issue that tanks tend to wear armor, though I could fix that with some low level glamour luckily.

Couldn't stick with Dragoon due to all the thrusting either. I like battle staffs and scythes, but not spears.

The rest is, uh...tolerable? I'm not a fan of robes, so casters aren't a big hit for me either. Pretty much the only jobs where I frequently glamour class armor are MNK and NIN. Unlike the previous poster, I like needlessly flashy animations, so NIN is pretty much purrfect for me and maxed on almost every of my characters, with MNK being a bit on the bland side when it comes to rotational skills - Demolish pretty much being the exception, but you can't spam that as much as you'd like.
