Customer Service should be able to handle user errors and get them corrected. People aren't and never will be infallible. If it is not straight forward to correct a licensing assignment like this then there is a major problem with Sony's and/or SE's tools or products. This does not mean that the customer shouldn't have to provide proof that they have the rights to use the product and that all hardware and accounts are owned by them but realistically all this is is an entry in a database. A few lines of SQL generated by a customer service screen and the deed should be done.
Creating another account for the kid won't work as you will put the kid's game into the same situation as the OP wants to fix with FF XIV.
yeah its going to be a pain SE is notorious for really crappy customer service for issues of this sort XD I mean once you get a hold of a person its easier to do but holy f\pluck do they almost seem to hide from their customers XD One time i had an issue with a token and took me like 4 hours to get in touch with em online and like 10 mins after that to actually resolve the issue XD
Consoles are cheaper than mid and above range gaming PCs, and I've actually been told by PC gamers that doing this kind of hook-ups can ruin TVs because of different resolution and refresh rates. That burn-in thing can happen much faster.
To put it bluntly, that's a load of crap. TVs are capable of many resolutions and you can limit your FPS to 30/60. Far as I know, burn-in is from the old CRT era (hence screensavers) and not really relevant.
This is akin to running a game at 60fps on a 30fps monitor. All you'll see is 30fps go to waste.
And those PC gamers don't know what they're talking about. Unless you're using a really old TV, a lot of sets today can handle different resolutions and refresh rates. While burn in can still happen, it's not as prevalent now.
Ok, that's really good to know! That might save me monitor money in the future!
Wow, all those "OP, it's your fault, eat it"...
I guess they'll be totally fine when they accidently throw away the wrong item in the game, and that SE will reply "Sorry, we don't want to provide the item restoration service to you...after all, it's your fault..."
Apparently, PSN has a refund system. You could try to use it if you only bought the game very recently, then buy it again on the right account. When I installed it I inadvertently installed it under my son's sub account and it is now useless due to the license being used to install the game allowed the game to be installed on a child account but Squares age policy won't let the game boot up on the PS4, according to Sony, and due to this I am unable to register the game.

So, when the game popped up and told you that it will be permanently linked to that PSN account, you didn't go double or triple check that you couldn't have possibly have made a mistake before accepting the terms?
These links might help you:

Note they will only ever do either of the above once. If you've used that one-time-only-save-me, you'll have to suck it up and be more careful in the future.
