Got Qarn with my boyfriend (have same last name) and we got a SMN and BLM couple as well (they have same last name too). BLM just have auto follow on her boyfriend and does nothing. To make a point, I auto follow my boyfriend. Nothing happens. I stopped auto follow and literally stood uncomfortably close to BLM. Finally she starts pulling her weight.

Time for a tale in which I was the derp...

So with the new relic quest, it's got you running leveling roulette 3 times per week. I draw my first card and I get... The Vault. *heavy sigh* I mean, that's what you'd think anyway, but we actually steamrolled it in a rather timely manner. Second draw... Titan! Woo! Cleared that one easily as well. At this point I'm feeling like a contestant on "Press Your Luck" for my last one. Come on, no whammies, no whammies... STOP!

I'll just cut to the chase. We make it all the way to last boss without issue, but for some reason I decided that as the healer, I was going to make it my mission to click all the bubbles to stop all the adds from spawning. So I'm sprinting from this platform to that, clicking away, feeling quite proud of myself. However, I turned around at one point and finally think, "Wait a minute... I know this is Sastasha, but I should probably heal the---"

Boom! Down goes the tank. D:

"That's okay!" I tell myself. "I'll just Raise--" No battle rez trait at this level. -_-;

I mean we still managed to clear it, but I was just mortified and apologized profusely to the tank afterward. He laughed it off, but wow did I feel like such a derp. x.x

To be honest, you're better off having everyone ignore the bubbles, and then as the healer just kite them.

Hell, most of the runs I've done the damage has been enough to trigger the subsequent sets of adds before the previous one pops and it cancels them.

Haha for sure, usually the DPS downs it before the adds can get 2 hits off. I just meant kite em if you have to worry about it

I got an AST on a PotD run that was so desperate not to DPS at all (this was the early floors) that they stuck on Diurnal the minute they got there, wouldn't touch Cleric and then gave me a Balance; I'm a WHM. There were two other DPS in the party. They left as soon as they realised we expected more than a Bene from them every now and then.

Lazy healers never cease to amaze me.

Fortunately I got teamed up with a brilliant group for 91 - 100, including a SCH who shielded and DPSed so we could both stance dance to push damage output. It turned out to be a really fun run, a little challenging at points but not too extreme (I'd be worried trying it with a PUG and no healers, though.) But I have some questions maybe someone can answer: what is Kuribu used for on the last boss, and how do you access floor 101+?

I was doing an ARF with my fiance this afternoon, helping him get his Singing Clusters, and we got a BRD who decided to jump in to the Bind AoE that Harmachis does even though we already had two people in, PRIOR to it being even placed (me and my fiance always do this when we go into ARF). So the BRD rushes in even though there's two people in it, I run out at the last second because I didn't want to get myself down to 1HP as well (as I was tanking). I tell the BRD to look before they intend to do a mechanic because we could've nearly wiped there, and as far as I know, the Harmachis does no cleaves in Machina form. They tell me "Usually, the DPS does the mechanic and not the tank. I guess I'm sorry you're mad.", I responded to them with "I'm not mad, just amazed someone is so stupid", and it just baffles me how you can tunnel vision so badly in ARF, second boss, of all places.

We ended up clearing the dungeon in the end though.

On the last boss, you can use Kuribu to stop the zombies from coming back up since its attack pretty much exorcises them.

I was doing PotD with some randos yesterday. A WHM and two MCH, and myself as AST. I think, "this should be fine, might be a little slow at first" But it wasn't fine.

First thing i noticed is that the MCHs were taking a lot of damage, though i didn't fault them for it, because there wasn't much they could do about it.

The second thing i noticed was the thing that broke me. The WHM was only casting Ruin. No Aero (1 or 2). No Stone (1 or 2). Just Ruin. I forgot that you could even cross-class that. Wasn't even dispelling any of the trap debuffs like silence/pacify (when they were the only one unafflicted). They also often facepulled an entire room because they were tunnel visioning a treasure chest.

Iirc, isn't ruin worse potency than stone?
