Been seeing it pop up now and then but some people are doing it on purpose just to see how far they can go. I recall a Lancer who wouldn't get his job just to see if he could complete without it. Maybe some stupid fad that is going around but seems more like they are wasting other people's time by under performing on purpose, granted not that it stops other people with jobs.

I'm willing to believe he's that good. cause I'm sick of it always being a bad that everyone makes fun of. I don't care how stupid I sound either, I'm just sick of the toxic tudes all the time. Not saying you're toxic but at the same time, What's wrong with thinking or joking he's THAT good? People need to lighten up. :C

I dunno. From vanitaslaughing's story, it doesn't sound like he was actually "that good" and more like he was carried by his FC through everything. Who apparently neglected to tell him the truth about how to unlock Paladin. For some reason. Or it's possible he lied about that. I'm pretty sure at least someone involved was trolling there.

Alas, for every good mentor, there are twice as many bad ones.

Adventures of my Alt leads me into Copperbell Mines for the first time. For her anyways. I skip the opening cutscene, but I took too long to load in, I suppose, because the healer in the party immediately made a complaint about someone new being in the dungeon (I knew it was about that because the minute the "One of more players are new to this duty" they began cursing and crap. Throughout the entire run, the healer consistently Fluid Aura'd mobs away from me (as in, they would switch to the one I was attack JUST to Fluid Aura it, and then go back to the one they had been previously attacking). Tried to mess me up, I suppose, by telling me incorrect mechanics during boss fights (which I just blatantly ignored). And pulled final boss before I even had the chance to choose "skip cutscene."

No wonder new people never want to speak up in dungeons when they're new, or ask for advice. Because people act like that. The healer's tank friend was no better, spinning mobs around (keep in mind, my alt is a PUGILIST, meaning POSITIONALS), or positioning them so as to make it unnecessarily hard for me to get behind them. People like those two make me sick.

Comm'd the arcanist that was in the party. While they seemed to be semi-afk during some parts, at least they weren't a jerk for no reason. And I'm certain that they were the person who comm'd my alt. Definitely not those other two, who should have their mentor statuses taken away from them.

In this case it's a player that "challenge" himself, i can understand that. But for the GLD he was aware that the job exists but got false informations (aka exp CNJ lvl 60) so he ended being a leftover for the party...

Yes, I'm sure that without any oaths, Hallowed Ground, a silencer, half his defence cooldowns and his DPS stance missing, he is a magical GLA.

Or as is more likely the case, a mixture of being carried by his FC and exasperated parties just wanting to finish content got him there.

I'd hardly call it toxic to expect players to at least have the minimum requirement of all their abilities, but this at this point this is just par for the course for DF. "You need to compensate for my deficiencies and if you don't you're a rude/ toxic player!!!"

You know, I'm fairly certain this actually counts as harassment, and those two should just be banned. Not gonna say anything more, because I'm actually speechless.

If I actually thought a GM would ban them for their behavior, I would report them. But, let's face it. The sad truth is nothing will happen. Except for maybe a "bad adventurer, bad!" slap on the wrist. :/ Really sad the way people react to new players (or players with a beansprout). I'm not even new, but I was too speechless to even say anything. I'm sure they figured it out when I was doing boss mechanics properly.

You should always report such behavior....


If they even only get a 'slap on the wrist' warning, that's still a mark on their record.

Enough marks and it'll add up to harsher penalties.

It's true in some cases, I've Reported tons of Players, be it People using Bots to Gather stuff 24/7 and being stacked with other Bots in Mid-Air or ya like the above example.

The Support generally is a huge thick wall and you clearly need something really bad to happen and than Actions will be taken.

Makes me wonder if they Filter Reports automatically out by some terms...

I know. I normally do, but I just...I am still very speechless with how that dungeon went. I would have spoken up there (politely, of course), asking them why they kept turning mobs, or why they insisted of Fluid Aura-ing mobs away from a melee, and politely ask them to stop. Or why they told me completely incorrect mechanics. But, probably would have been kicked, and I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes in a DPS queue just to try and progress.

Just...such a good run earlier in Sastasha, and then this. Very disheartening. Makes me really feel bad for the new players that wouldn't have known any better.
