Time for some self-deprecation!

So I've had Sophia EX on farm for several weeks now. Today I queued up into Trial Roulette and got normal mode... which I have only ever done once before. I first died because I expected to see the usually red/blue meteors from extreme, but no blue meteors exist! In fact, I was caught so off guard by just seeing one tether because that's not how it's supposed to work! But yeah, I just spaced. Died a second time anticipating Daughter push back and there were a few more mistakes. Basically, I was sooo bad. It was like a completely different fight and I just couldn't shake off extreme mechanic memory xD

Twice in a row that I queued for mentor roulette and met this poor sprout whm who was born under bad luck, pugging with uncooperative team mates..

I joined in progress of a 3min Ward Up guild hest with this whm, pld, and a monk.. monk kept killing and single targetting the flying demon despite being told not to, we even filled LB bar and monk used braver to kill one demon..this whm however kept healing the party and doing a good job.. it took us around 15 mins to clear the duty with me popping up all the buffs and aoeing with quick noct.

2nd one right after that, met the same whm in Long live the queen guildhest with different composition, a dark and dragoon. Dark proceeded taking all 3 puddings and even ignored the flying fire at the start, the pudding casted sleep on the whm and the 2 bombs blew up.. the whm survive however with very low hp.. literally only 1 hp remained and we won the duty with nobody died.. I gave my com to the WHM on each duty

'Twas indeed a Gladiator, we were so in disbelief we actually double checked the party list, the search info AND their lodestone to make sure they actually, well, had a PLD and not just a GLD.

It was Gladiator level 60, nothing else unlocked, just like in that screenshot there.

I needed a harsh reality check after this, not gonna lie. A really fast and nearly smooth (ran into issues at Forgall) Weeping City wasn't really a reality check so I went back to trying to fix my left-right issues for A11S while muddling about on my alt, haha...

I...I have to know. How did he do in A12? xD

Just ran Toto-Rak with a friend and a GLA who seemed to lack the basic idea of "holding hate". Either I (healer) or one of the DPS seemed to be getting hit more often than not. Definitely hurt facing Graffias.

Incidentally, either the other DPS was a derp or the GLA was way too hasty, because he got locked out of the first run of Graffias! That was a wipe.

Don't feel too bad. You aren't alone in doing Ex mechanics in her HM fight. I do them all the time and get really off balance from it. Still feel like super scrub when I fall off though. XD

I'm with Cammi on this. He must be amoung the greatest players in the game to successfully get to what amounts to the endboss as a harshly nerfed tank class. If he did well, that is.

So I'll do some self-deprecating in here. Just had my longest run of Weeping city, and my part doesn't even appear until the end!

So here I am in good old alliance A with a couple newer friends who were our healers, things are going alright. First boss is kinda shaky, and the alliance nearly falls apart at Forgal. Suddenly I have a dreadful premonition of what is to come. So we get to Ozma, and without waiting for anyone to explain the fight to whomever may be new, someone in alliance C pulls. It becomes very apparent that our tank has no idea what they are doing. I won't go into lengths but we wipe. We ask the other parties to wait and start talking to the tank, no response. Someone from C pulls again so /shrug. We wipe again. Third time, tank is somehow doing slightly better despite not saying a word. Newfriends misplace meteors. We wipe. At this point our entire party is trying to get our tank to answer us in chat. We votekick. Before our new tank can even load in someone from alliance C pulls AGAIN. We wipe. Failed vote abandon.

Now for my part. It's late, we're talkin 2:30 AM at the time I did this, and I'm super frustrated. I'm making stupid mistakes, kill a couple people with the dice but we get through it and I shrug it off (or so I thought). We get to the final boss, finally a simple bossfight and I'll be done! We have 2 LB bars so our new tank says "Ranged LB". Without even looking at the party list or the minimap or really thinking at all I rush forward and mash that MF-ing LB button. It was when the wails of anguish from the rest of the alliance appeared that I saw that I had locked 2/3 of the alliance out of the boss room. We wipe once more, finish the fight and leave without a word. Brb killing self out of embarrassment.

If any of you see this, I'm not an early puller I promise. :3

If you mean not showing the job levels, he would still have a level for CNJ.

Ah you're right. Then I don't know LOL. He HAS to be the greatest then. There's no other option to be there on a base class.Tell me I'm the only one seeing this and loling like mad. I'm almost jealous.

I do the same all the time, she's the one primal where ex is nothing like normal mode, and ingraining the mechanics onto my mind has meant I completely derp on normal every time without fail.
