This is something you WILL see, people will want to try the new Jobs, some will remain on it, some won't, it's a phase we will have to deal with.
I have another fear, if Samurai or Red Mage are released and one of them is a DPS, i'm afraid either either Dragoon or Ninja (most likely Dragoon) will be booted from Best Raid Combo, mainly because i believe the new DPS will be good to use, or there would be no point in releasing it -- so they will make it good, so the META will change.

1) Soken. Yoshi-P loves team 4 and the classic FF feeling, he said himself 4.0 is going to be more FF-ish like, then Soken must be replaced for field tracks; one between Sakimoto, Uematsu and Mizuta have to take the lead, for those who made FF great and its OSTs masterpieces. But considering what we heard at the latest fan fest Soken seems in charge once again for the whole OST. A shame, rip classic Final Fantasy. Hope Uematsu will compose the new main theme, at least.
2) Contents and difficulty. Latest raid tier was dramatically easier than the rest and to be honest, the only hard content we had so far was SCoB savage at its time. Plus, rewards aren't fair at all (raiders should get 20 or superior item lv. above the rest), items get deprecated too quickly and we just have four turns per tier. They said something about a new level of difficulty for 4.0 raids, we'll see. More hard contents, more efforts, more raids, more (and better) rewards, more gear, more stats, more depth, more FFXI, more Everquest, less WoW post Vanilla, less glamour, less housing, less mounts, less minions, less RP, less ERP.
3) Job rotations. Battle system is actually cool but considering the amount of abilities a revamp seems a must; making them easier because casuals can't pull a proper rotation is bad though, hope they'll just make a better HUD for DoTs ticking.
These are the most important things for me SE should care about for 4.0.

I too share that fear. As it is DRG is kinda on the fence in the typical composition and that itself is bad... SE needs to do some tweaks to help mitigate this situation (and, as I mentioned, not make WAR/SCH a requirement).
Screw the rewards... the entire scene needed some new blood and this helped. Besides, I at least only see "server first A55S" in search info... No need to cater to them too much since they're such a small portion of an already small population.

That the Devs won't push the gameplay-design enough and we'll just get the same things we've been getting since 2.0 and will keep the "If you're bored, play something else for a while, then comeback" attitude.



That they add only one or two jobs

I just hope that the Forbidden Land Eureka doesn't become toxic like hunts.
