    Okay, so I'm not the only dealing with this. This is the only game that gives me drama. Every online game I play, works perfectly. It's not my ISP--I got them to open all the ports, this game has no firewall/virus/malware restrictions.

    It's Square.

    Apologists and SE reps can say what they want, but Square Enix needs to get it together & own up to their error. How are they gonna sell the next expansion with their Doritos chip data servers? I am not spending 40-50 bucks for a start screen.

    For the money FFXIV players spend on services, non-existing items, & subscriptions--- the last thing we need Square doing is taking scumbag notes from EA.

    I was able to log in for a bit at 7:21, but then I was booted a few minutes later. I feel sorry for anyone who was running Sophia with me.

    2nd night in a row, cannot connect to NA data center, able to connect to the rest. Come on SE, pretty sure, it's not my ISP. Fix your game!

    As much as you guys nickel and dime us players, the least you guys can do is give us a bit more detail on what's going on vs just blaming ISP's and not even listing which ISPs are the culprits such as Comcast, Cablevision, AT&T etc. (>_>)

    I'm having better luck with a VPN proxy in AWS zone us-west-2a than from AWS zone us-east-1a. us-east-1a seems about the same as my native east-coast FiOS service.

    Latest update to the issue on the lodestone is a total cop out, SE is ducking the issue - as they always have when it comes to the craptastic Level 3.

    Basically they are saying the issue is with an upstream provider, so players should contact their ISP. Except as we know from experience and posts in this and other topics, contacting ISPs is as useful as a chocolate teapot in the summer.

    So, SE is placing the blame on un-named parties (which we know is Level 3 and their technical issue) and then pushing the onus on the player to resolve something that the player has absolutely zero influence on.

    Square Enix, I wish you guys would talk to your provider and tell them that they need a secondary option in case Level 3 fails. This could easily have been avoided by having an alternate routing available.
