Omg I had one like that too in Sohm Al today! Since we are on the same data center, it might even be the same person xD
I know I should be speechless at the lack of job crystal but instead what bothered me the most were the heals >.>
Like..excuse me, I know how to do my job, something that I can't quite say about you..! Drove me insane.

A while ago at the end of a (4 man) duty I say "thanks for the group", and the tank responds with a unprovoked "fk off". I exited and saw I got two commendations and I didn't commend him. He must have been having a bad day.

This happened a few days ago. I ended up in AV with two sproutling DPS. One was a NIN and the other BLM. The tank we got was someone I dated outside the game for a week. Didn't work out, and we haven't talked in months.

Anyways he didn't say anything to any of us, so I explained all boss mechanics to them, and the run went smoothly. Both DPS died once but I don't blame them. Anyways at the end of the run, we all said our thanks and the two sprouts thanked me for being patient with them and one of them hugged me.

Seemed to bother the tank for odd reason. When they left he asked me to be his girl again over the game. Riiight. I shrugged it off but it bothered me a bit that this triggered because someone hugged me in game.

If I could commend more than one, I would comm both Sprouts

Its a mostly happy run if the tank didn't ruin it.

Had that in my A12. An AST we brought isn't bad, but her obsession with AOE cards is driving me insane. We had 2 ASTs here. One dropped an AOE balance maybe 5s in. Cool, don't mind the raid wide one in an opener. My AST then proceeded to drop an AOE spear 1-2s after the balance... AST 1 went "why would you overwrite my balance..." and got no response.

It's driving me insane as a few I've seen insist on burning cards/waiting to drop a 50% potency on all of us. Even worse when I end up with arrow on my DRG but I've macrod removing it.

Ok so my wifey and I are cotanking A12. I don't have LB on my bar as a Warrior, but she has her PLD LB3 ready. We get to the phase where Alex burns the whole arena and she pops the LB3, and the bard of the group yells "TRUMP IS THAT YOU?!"

I died of laughter. We won it on one though.

I think I did something to upset Byregot... I woulda bailed on this group but I'd queued with a friend and the other DPS was good... but this tank... Aetherochemical Research Facility. Goes in to pull big. Fair play, I'm a Scholar, I can handle that. Within 1 minute I see the MNK get devoid of all his HP from damn near full in seconds flat. I'm still trying to heal, and I hear the sound of what I thought was a Flash came out of my headset. That caused a double take. So next pull happens after that, and I SEE the tank using Flash. So I explain as a DRK that Flash isn't needed as Unleash is Flash on steroids. The tank... responds by posting an NSFW ASCII art. At this point everyone else groans IRL (or so I imagine judging by the responses). The tank then proceeds to take about 45 seconds in between every pull, refuses to use Darkside (even on bosses, I can understand not using it on trash, as I can't figure out how best to manage big pulls with darkside up, but bosses? It's pretty simple I've found so long as there's not much in the way of adds). Keeps flashing, posts the NSFW ASCII again mid way through for good measure, keeps losing aggro... Get to the final boss, and the tank goes "zzz" as if to complain about the run taking forever when he was the one taking about 45 seconds in between each pull. I swear, I wanted to go Hulk Smash mode...

EDIT: Oh yeah game, way to kick a man when he's down... give me that... interesting... tank, and then DC me after the dungeon why don't you?

Eh, in 8-man groups, AOE balances/arrows are more effective for the overall DPS than single target ones, specially if you don't run a parser and know who's top DPS.

Did trial roulette today with my bard friend and we get Sophia normal awesome! This'll be easy, we get in there say hey and pull my friend pops battle voice as he sees the Whm in our group had cleric on as well as the other healer. 20 seconds in and the whms mana is at full and he still has cleric on wth? Is he D/cing? No. Ask him hey can you DPS? He just says "lel no I don't have to" all throughout the fight i'm asking him can you heal or DPS and he responds with "whenever I feel like it".

Around 20% the group is making it their mission to not DPS the boss, jump off the edge, and make him heal which he heals but that just makes the run take longer till it's me and the MT and 2 healers left, the Ast was raising people but the Whm just sat there and did nothing until the boss was at 10% and we got the 2nd Demiurge which started healing the boss which was news to me since I never was in there that long. We cleared but at the end the Whm started beefing people in the end, I don't get why you joined a trial roulette and just sit there and do nothing and make fun of everyone and make the run take 5-8 minutes longer than it's supposed to be all the white mage did was Medica II and that's it used it maybe once or twice.

Kudos to that Ast and thanks for actually doing your job and solo healing.

I can feel that frustration, been there many times and while on my server the pf is still like that in most cases, I've learned to use duty finder/raid finder only or party finders that I know the people by name. But there have been a lot of people that feel that way, and that's another reason a lot have stopped raiding prior to 3.0 or even in 3.0. Being forced to build or join a static for end game content is a different discussion but maybe should be considered having before releasing 4.0. anyways have you considered transferring to another server? There are some good servers, that while you still end up with groups like that (some people just love carries or being carried), the majority of groups can actually clear content. I don't know about your server, but I can see that even so you are clearly frustrated, fishing is not something you want to do

I have a lot of friends on my server, and I really really love my FC. They are so fun and kind.
But, unfortunately, most of my friends do not raid. The ones who do, are all in different statics.

I thought about joining a static, but I am a little nervous. I had almost no raid experience in any game before 3.4. I only did Midas a little.
I didn't want to pull everyone else down because of my incompetence.

Now in 3.4 I started trying raiding. First and Second floor were good. Not hard. Everyone was nice and we cleared pretty fast. But 3rd floor is just...

Ugh, just got out of a leveling roulette on my gladiator. Sprout conjurer, ninja, and monk in Toto-Rak. The monk was in his 50's, and thought it was a grand idea to just go pull whatever he thought I should have pulled. What followed was not a smooth run. I withheld from trying to vote kick the monk on a hunch, and it turns out that he and the healer are from the same FC, so it probably would have backfired. I just sucked up the frustration and rode it out, and once Graffias was dead, I just booked it. No comms given, none received, just got the heck away from them.

Oh well, at least I can do my last gladiator and paladin quests, now.
