Also can I ask a question thats been digging in my mind the past week I was put on punishment from the forums? Why do healers complain about healing? I've seen a few post of healers of various classes complain that they had to heal. I'm not saying they are wrong, but why complain about healing when that's the main function of your class? THat's like me complaining I have to DPS as a DPS? Am I missing something?

The problem is usually that someone is pulling far more than they are actually able to deal with, which puts an incredible amount of stress on the healer, and can quite easily lead to someone (or everyone) dying if the healer isn't playing perfectly. In the (likely) event that everyone dies, suddenly it's the healer's fault for not keeping everyone alive, and no healer wants to deal with that heaped on top of the strain of doing everything they could to heal through it.

EDIT: Ooh, I have another story; I forgot to post this as my static grabbed me immediately after, but the GIFs thread just reminded me;
One of my runs in A12, I was playing as a PLD and MT'ing the fight. Later on in the fight, there's been a couple of deaths, and the healers are a bit strained, with weakness as they had both died previously. I notice that both of them are stacked up - alone - in the Shared Sentence mark with no one else nearby. I have the Aggravated Assault debuff (and thus would usually avoid the Shared Sentence)... but in a split second, I knew that we would not recover if I didn't stack too, so I pop hallowed and ran in at the last moment. The healers barely survived, and we managed to clear without wiping.
I got a /hug out of one of them afterwards. =^_^=

This was last Monday before the maintenance. Usually it starts around 11PDT but last MOnday, it was 10PDT. Which I forgot, and I que'd for the Main Story Roulette at 9:55 pm and got in right away. Turned out we all forgot the maintenance.

No, the problem is not "not wanting to do their job", the problem is that they are being forced to deal with a far larger workload than they should have because the party isn't doing their jobs properly, and then receiving the blame when they collapse under the weight of it. Healers are people too, and are entitled to a pace they are comfortable with, without receiving a backlash when they are forced to do the impossible and fail. When a tank pulls big and doesn't use appropriate cooldowns, or the DPS isn't killing it fast enough, it is the healer who has to pick up the slack for them not doing their job (either with more HP/s when the tank fails, or sustaining MP when the DPS fails), and that results in a frustrated healer who's working hard when the rest of the party is on autopilot. And then that frustrated healer vents that frustration here :P

That said, there are also healers who like to work a bit of DPS in when they can; it keeps them on their toes, and breaks up the monotony of keeping the tank alive.

I had a pretty weird run today. I decided to do leveling roulette on my Bard. Ended up getting Quarn and about half way through the tank decided to freak out on me for not using WM..at level 37.

I had someone flip on me for not using Grit in a low level dungeon. He told me that I should be keeping up with my job quests and that I'm a bad player. I don't think it's even possible to unlock DRK without Grit.

Gotten that on a few dungeons with my PLD. Yes complainer, I know Shield Oath is great, but I'm synced down to where I don't have it >.<

In the Aery one time, when I was PLD, our healer accidentally got herself killed, trying to raise one of the dps. Said dps then proceeded to spam repeat that I needed to battle raise her. After the inevitable wipe, I explained to him that I could not battle raise. He told me I just needed to cross-class Raise.

Our blm had to explain that smn was the only non-healing class who could battle raise.

I was just mystified why he'd argue with me. (Turns out, he sincerely thought that I just didn't know my job.)

I main WHM. Im perfectly happy for the tank to pull the whole dungeon even if he wants to BUT if you pull everything make sure that you keep agro on what you pull. What annoys me is when a tank pulls everything and then 3 adds are on me other two in the BLM... I think healers sometimes complain of big pulls because this is a scenario seen too often. You are not a great tank because you pull big rooms, even i as a healer can do that, you are a great tank because whatever you pull you can keep enmity/agro on them.
If you think that you can pull everything, keep agro on them the whole time perfect, if not just do 4-6 adds pulls each time.
