    I like the idea of lasting consequences, but we've already seen that they're reluctant to have lasting consequences in the game. How quickly was the Sultana resurrected, our names cleared and the status quo returned in Ul'dah? How quickly has Urianger had his plot - which could have been awesome btw - wrapped up in a neat little bow?

    I think that would be a terrible idea. Players HIGHLY value how their character looks, and forcing a defining feature like a scar would only serve to turn people off.
    I dunno about that, man. Chicks dig scars, didn't you know?

    I thought you meant more along the lines of the player getting physical in the story and possibly injured in some way, rather than just running up, standing there, and reacting sometimes.

    I really wish Au Ra had the option to have scars, but unfortunately they don't.

    Not really what it has to do with this topic, no.

    Suppose they could during certain moments have a sub text of what injury may occur or happen if we choose a route vs if we avoid that conflict. Which I guess could also be a new tab for Fantasia to profit from to go back and change previous choices if we end up not liking it.

    This.

    That said, the idea has merit but would require some semblance of choice with clear alternatives (and about 6 or 7 prompt screens saying "if you do this, your character will be permanently scarred"). Best example I can come up with would be from Fable 2, where in order to get the Hero of Skill (basically the rogue archetype hero) to help you, you have to help him perform this ritual. Turns out the ritual involves draining an innocent victim of their vigor so that the Hero of Skill can remain young. You have the option of letting it happen or at the last second rescue the victim and have the ritual affect you instead, instantly making you considerably older (you can't die because you're the fourth hero according to the story).

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:
    Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

    Think it'd be neat if it were a means of unlocking additional scar/ imperfections at the aesthetician. The existing scars are pretty cliche/ dumb ones imo. Like the type you're more likely to find in a manga than from an actual fight.
    No disfiguration occurs during the story. But you can unlock scars/ nicks/ burns/ scratches as you complete specific fights.
