Don't blame the company when there are so many people who don't know where to spend their money.
No, those people know where to spend their money. It's theirs to spend, me nor you have a right to judge them on what they do with their money. The ONLY thing you can do is keep asking companies to not do what you don't want them to do. That's a better waste of time then telling people where and how to spend their own money. Sorry.. it gets to me when people do that.

It could also not exist in a game that requires monthly payments.

Earning it in game is not poison, it is a goal many people go for to play the game. When you buy something you have not earned it.

I earned the money that I would use to buy it. And I have decided to spend the earned money not on a mount if I can get much more mounts ingame, even if the mount will cost 3$.

Neverless, high prices are good to keep people away to buy it. SE should increase the prices, not lower it.

Yes you did. You earned it by putting in your real work hours to choose to spend your hard earned cash for said item. Hell it can be said if you didn't pay for it with your own money you didn't earn it really. You can't go off in the real world and kill demons or rats and get rewarded for it unless it's your job. Don't be that person that belittles someone paying for something they worked for. After all not everyone can be lucky enough to be retired and have all day to play video games.

I think people are complaining mostly about the cosmetic items. Since cosmetics in cash shops mainly exist in F2P games, for a game with no F2P option there is a very high focus on cash shop cosmetics.

Their prices look right in line with WoW's... Should I go around and look at other cash shops to see what I already know? If you don't have the money for the items, then you can go without. It's "OPTIONAL".

I have two factors which effect my view on if a cash shop is ok.

    1. Am I getting my money's worth with the ingame patch content?

    2. Does the stuff on the Cash shop in any way place me at a disadvantage or do I feel in any way forced to purchase cash shop items to fully enjoy the game?

If the answer to the first is yes and the answer to the second is no then I am ok with it, regardless of what they charge.

Does that mean I don't really wish I had access to some of that stuff? Sure I want them. However I feel I get what I pay for with the 3.5 month patch releases and the substancial number of glamour items, models and other content that is released in the base game. I am not going to deny SE a further revenue stream, particularly when at least a portion of the money from that stream will feed back into the game.

Let's also remember that for some of those items, they likely would never have been developed if not for the cash shop. Sure, the festival gear from previous years was already implemented but the Moogle mount was almost certainly made for the cash shop and they hadn't calculated an expected profit of it as part of their business model, they likely wouldn't have developed it in the first place.

In the end I get my money's worth. That is what matters to me.
