    Benediction...well all instant heals, are supposed to be buffers more than an "Oh SHIT!"

    I got to the point Bene and Tetra where more about saving MP and time......



    But, the rumor about combat getting streamlined a bit is true. Yoshi-p talked about it in a few different interviews that the team has noted the skill gaps between players has grown since 3.0 and they intend to rework certain aspects and rotations to close it.

    The long and short of it is, he wants all jobs to be as accessible at 70 as they were/are at 50.

    Yes and no. Some instant heals should aim to let the healer do their job while moving, or allowing them to chain two skills (a cast skill + instant) for some burst. Stuff like Benediction is supposed to be for "oh shit!" moments, otherwise it wouldn't be designed with every aspect of an emergency big heal.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
