Well, on a more positive note. Bismarck HM in trial roulette number 2 (which even if I had got the tomestones from the first one, I would have run trial roulette again so I felt I'd earned those tomestones). We go in. Immediately someone decides to go exploring and fall off the edge. Good start LOL. Turns out they were new, no big deal, we just all jump off and try again. We had one more wipe after that due to losing one of the healers to falling off, then losing our other healer, and then our summoner dropping, and lacking the DPS to finish off Bismarck. 3rd time, the charm. great run and nobody died 3rd time around.

The only thing I have done via DF recently was 2 new Alexs - the first... omg. OT who didn't get the pick up bomb > move to add > take add to lava > get out of lava when it happens. So many wipes. But got through eventually.

OT is suppose to pick those up? Every run I've done, I had to pick them up to avoid wiping... as a SMN. Good thing they don't hit hard.. Or do they? I always have a reliable pocket Scholar that's prepared for me to do something stupid, like pick up OT slack as a squishy caster.

Location: Syrcus Tower
Conflict: Ast vs. Ast
Story: So i zone into ST yesterday. I havn't done it in forever, so i was up for a fun nostalgia trip. I look at the other healer and see that it's another AST, so i wait to see if he chooses a stance first before choosing mine, and he doesn't. So i default to my favorite stance, nocturnal sect. The party is ready to go, and without even looking at what i chose, he also chooses nocturnal sect. I grumble and switch to diurnal, i wasn't happy, but i just decided to let it go.

We reach the first boss, and i have a balance and expanded royal road ready, so i use that on the pull. 5 seconds later i see all my balance buffs replaced with boles. He, again, did not check to see if i had used anything, and just threw up whatever he had. I get another balance/expanded on the next boss, and i use it, but about 7 seconds into it i see them all replaced with arrows.


It was at this point i opted for revenge, and whenever he used anything i would overwrite it.

to play Devil's advocate....15 seconds is really too long for a timer. Knock that thing down to 5. 5 seconds is plenty of time to hit cooldowns after a ready check has been completed.

Certain jobs require the 15 seconds to have an optimal opener, e.g Ninja

Ninja's ninjutsu is a 20 second cooldown.

To have it back up on pull they'd need 15~20 seconds warning so they can have Huton at the max duration possible while still having Ninjutsu for the pull.

I have to praise the players I've just met in raid finder Sophia ex.

Everyone knows their partner for the stacking mechanic, no one falls off, no one runs into aoes, we skip abilities because of the dps and the best thing: Only a 3 minute queue!

Why can't it always be like this? If anyone from that run reads this, you have my deepest thanks. Got an easy 10th totem because of you. :3

Did you tell him he was overwriting cards? Or ask him his stance preference?

AST+AST used to be so uncommon that it's possible he didn't know you cancel each other's skills out from simply never having been paired with one for a longer instance.

AST I was paired with replaced the enhanced balance I placed on my dps mate with an aoe bole today in Void Ark. I feel your pain

Okay first off, this one isn't from Duty Finder. From Party Finder. So I join Sophia Ex parties, only to be kicked for not having Blood for Blood. I main Ninja, level 60, ilevel235. The first few times I did Sophia I lasted the longest aside from the tanks, so I make my own Party Finder request, then all I get is people talking shit just because I want to clear the damn trial. Balmung this happened on. They said "No offense, but we need people who take this seriously." So I messaged the party leader, jokingly saying "It's cuz I am black isn't it?" They took it seriously....

Then I join a second party, I get kicked for not having completely cleared Sophia before, I would have cleared if the damn Duty Finder wasn't so bad at matching parties. I always get stuck with the ones that talk it up like "Ha, this will be a walk in the park." Only for them to get slaughtered first.

Well... that's one of the disadvantages of the cross-class system; to play your job to the fullest potential, you are required to cross class skills from other classes that are not from the mandatory 2 that make up your job. If the parties in your server are suffering from low clear rates, naturally the players in there will be fussy about this.

So I joined up for new Alexander stuff in Duty Finder, my glamour is my version of Damian Wayne from DC as Robin, first thing that happened upon me joining was messages like "Am I the only one noticing that Robin is in our party?" Then I got some like "The worst Robin. He's an edgy little shit." Then I couldn't just let that one slide so I was like "I am not Jason Todd." It created a nerd debate. I settled it with Dick Grayson being best Nightwing and Batman, Damian being best Robin, Jason and Tim Drake are their own thing so they're the best at what they do.

But I certainly do like the attention I get from my glamour.
