Yup. I played a LOT of F2P kMMOs to know what P2W looks like - I've definitely participated in that aspect with some of them. Players calling this "P2W" is... lol.yeah it's def not a pay to play. You can ding to lvl 30 after a full day of game play with or without the clothing.
Pay to play is paying for gear that gives you the ability against another player that would not be able to over reach you from in game gear.
The clothing the person is posting every 4 posts is not that
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Nah, the defense then will be "it's fine, it allows new players to catch up to current content" or something. They would defend anything SE does, it'll get to an absolutely disgusting point and they still would.I might sound a little pissy, but the moment someone mentioned it would get worse people would reject the idea and call it a slippery slope with no "proof" as we don't have the ability to look into the future. Well here we are, it got worse and people are still defending it. Maybe the community will finally break after they introduce level potion, as it did in WoW for a short period of time.
I especially love the gullible fools who think the money from this stuff actually gets properly put back into this game... if only that was the case, if only.
Only reason I'm not buying it is I can imagine the horrid combat clipping. Either that or the cloth around the legs is stiff as steel and doesn't move whatsoever.
Does the FFXIV community still think they're "testing the waters"?
You can play bingo with cash shop defenders and their buzzwords.
Exclusive Vaan of Rabanastre clothing coming for the low price of $18 but it comes with exp buffs so it's it's okay! < this'll happen.

I think the real reasons people ask for things in Mog shop is two things.
1.) Don't have to worry about grinding something to get it.
Or
2.) it's an item they think SE might not give them so they ask to put it where the money is.
And people pay hundreds of dollars for spaceships in other games? I fail to see your point?
If you follow the trends that is a sure fire way to get anything added to the game. If people are willing to pay a premium for it then why would SE not do it? That's how the cash shop started in the first place.
