Why does it matter what the price is? If you feel it is overpriced, then don't buy it. If no one buys it, the price will be lowered. If people continue to buy it, then it is not overpriced.
I would assume that the additional cost is related to licensing. I doubt the company who designed this gear for their market would allow SE to use it without some kind of recompense. That additional cost is reflected in the price.

I'm taking price as an exemple considering SE had to put a glam at 18$ for people to realize CS is not a good thingWhy does it matter what the price is? People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Because they know people like myself will buy it because it looks sooo good.
Wasn't the moogle mount originally 25$? I wouldn't bought a mount for 35.
Pay-To-Win: Players who are willing to pay for special items or downloadable content may be able to gain a significant advantage over those playing for free. Critics of such games call them "pay-to-win" (p2w) games.
Until level 30, +30% EXP Bonus
Cash Shop Items that give an advantage over people who pay a monthly sub is Pay to Win, the EXP bonus you gain from that gear stacks with other EXP bonus items. This gives new players that buy the dress a huge advantage over
regular new players, it no longer becomes an Optional shop if they start adding things like this.
And it isn't just new players that get effected by this, but higher level players as well...Players in the pvp community.
To give you an example:
The Devs recently changed how ques work in the feast,
In Season 1 of the feast it would work on a 3 tier system, you would never be matched up with people over 3 tiers higher or lower than your current tier. (If you were gold you would never get matched up with an unranked brand new pvper on your team or on the enemy side.)
In Season 2 of the feast they made it so you could get matched up with any tier no matter your ranking. The Duty finder will try to match you up in your own tier first however if que times start to get too long they will grab from the lowest tier.
This creates a huge problem for NA PVP since there is rarely anyone in que compared to those who PVP in Japan. Normally gold+ players will get matched up with a lot of unranked/Bronze players or in the case where the unranked player is a healer that healer will get a lot of gold->Platnium Players on thier team in an attempt for the Duty finder to balance both teams.
(source)
A lot of people have started making alts in the feast now in an attempt to sabotage people's matches (by quing up as an unranked healer and going all out with a team of silver/gold/platnium players or DPS and throwing matches on purpose to lower higher tier players rankings.)
It Takes about two weeks to get from 0->60 and be pvp ready.
Now add multiple Cash Shop EXP boosters like this new dress and the time it takes to get from 0->60 is much shorter, a lot more alts start appearing in PVP and things the feast just becomes even more horrid.
This is actually the major reason why I don't want leveling Potions in the game, its because if it becomes too easy for people to get to 60 then nothing stops people from making a mess out of PVP due to the horrible Que systems for 4 v 4.

This one is my favorite.
Honestly, I don't care for event items and services such as server transfer or even fantasia. They're bad, yes, but not as bad as the rest. I think that there's no way to deal with it. It'll get worse, because the players accept and even want it. Sadly, people think that Square Enix is some kind of saint, when in fact it's just a company. I appreciate their work, of course, since I play their games, but that doesn't mean that they are above all the other examples we see in the MMO market.
Wow, severely disappointed.
I was hoping to pay $50 for new dyes, $60 for new emote, $70 for new outfit, and $100 for new barding.
Ugh, why you ruin my day SE![]()
