    SMN is awful.
DRG needs more jumps, not like jump mechanics but jump animations, actually, ninja kinda jumps more during its animations than DRG itself...
NIN really needs more stealth mechanics, basically be able to use stealth DURING combat and have secondary effects to it as he starts to fight.

Its more a case of making a theme fit the current play style.

A lot of people complain about summoner. In the older final fantasy games summoners would just do a big attack and that's what a lot of people want. Would that really work in the game though? Everyone running around keeping their buffs up while summoners press a button and watch an attack play out? I think Dreadwyrm Trance was a good way of portraying that, charge up your aether then perform a big powerful attack.

I like the idea of DoTs on a summoner because they do something that most attacks can not- allow you to deal damage while concentrating on other things. A way it could be fixed is by keeping dots, and when they are applied, do some abilities that affect the way your pets act. My ideal summoner in 4.0 would be one egi that replaces all the current ones and gives you someone to do in between trances other than spamming ruin. That would feel a bit more summoner-y.

As for ninja, I think someone has already said that but stealth isn't easy to implement in a fast-paced game either. I just can't think of how you wold implement stealth mechanics.

I agree with DRG and Jumps which also extends to PLDs and Shields. thematically it might feel better if DRG combos (especially the closing attacks like Fang and Claw or Wheeling Thrust) ends with a jump animation and PLDs had more Shield moves as part of their Combos.

Ninja stealth during combat doesn't make sense. If the Ninja isn't tanking stealth is irrelevant.

my ideal SMN for ARR would be no pet at all, just different Summoning Spells which would put you in different trances.

So you have Enkindle that does different things depending on which pet you have out. If you're in Vortex Trance, Tri-Bind would have the Contagion effect instead of Bind, Ruin III would turn into Wind Blade. Rouse would also trigger some kind of Trance specific attack.

I think something like Yuna in Dissidia would be great for summoner, using skills and a primal comes out, does it and disappears. Idk, I'd like that tbh.

Archer felt right. Bard felt violating to think of it as a traditional Bard. Better for me to think on it as an Archer that learned to play the harp.

For me I am not a fan of BLM. I don't like how BLM are limited to using Fire as it's main form of offensive attack and only using Ice to replenish MP and the occasional Thunder as a DoT. I also don't see why the 3 thunder spells are just simply dots with varying cast times/potency they're not even stackable like Aero 1-3, Bio1-2,Miasam 1-2. I do find it quite annoying how NIN have access to all 6 elements, yet WHM and BLM are limited to 3.

Bard should have had more songs and it's playstyle has changed drastically compared to all the other jobs in 3.0

I think DRG should have had more jumps, atleast a AOE DoT similar to the one's Foulquest and Estininnien used on us in the class/job battle

No, I do not find that Summoner matches the theme.

While I understand the reasoning behind not having huge summons that destroy the battlefield, I do not understand why we don't have more summons and are constantly changing our summons. Currently, it's just summon Garuda and go to town. Ignore that you have 2 other summons and pretty much can forget Garuda is there 99% of the time - just have her skills on your hotbar and add them to your rotation.

I think a better system would have one swapping between summons constantly - reduce MP/cast time on summons and grant more reasons to use alternate summons.

I enjoy SMN, but it's not the kind of class anyone expected. I'm genuinely hoping we get a real pet heavy job down the line, via Beastmaster/Animist or Puppeteer.

I agree Dragoon could benefit from more acrobatics in their animations, but I do like how FFXIV puts heavy emphasis on the dragon part of Dragoon.

White Mage feels really good, but my complaint is that the storyline for the job is a vehicle for Gridanian and Padjali lore verses focus on the school of magic itself. We really don't know that much about Ampador besides the fact that Elementals hate the place with their personal brand of fury and the people were White Mages of immense power. Way too much power.

Compare that to Scholar going deep into Nym to the point a Nymian is our trainer and Mhach being the center of the current raids.
