Amdapor Keep (normal) on an alt
tried to do a semi speed pull. Not a full speed pull since i figure pple are not used to it in this half forgotten dungeon.
Somehow, someway the whm always got 1 aggro for some reason.
They didnt use regen on my while i pulled so im not sure why. And im pretty sure i got the pulled mobs.

Buffs can grab aggro if the tank is only proximity pulling. Eye for an Eye is a likely suspect.
Try to hit everything at least once. Use the ranged pull and tab through targets or Flash/Overpower/whateverDRKget the lot.

Always remember doing the lake for the first time.
i was BRD and my brother was on BLM. so i used Foe on first boss for him, and for some reason after that the tank kept on and on for me to use it. Just wouldnt stop, when got near last boss he stopped tanking saying he wouldnt do his job if i wasnt. Did a HUGE rant including calling me a retard and i should stop playing. Finaly he left, it was the only time ive got upset in game. Honestly didnt feel like finishing the dungeon, but wanted to do the story.

It's almost October, time to get spooky. This time, it's in Sohr Khai!

White = Other BLM who didn't say anything and just left.

He... didn't have Provoke.






Never had seen Berserk. Did not have Provoke either. Much of the time, didn't bother turning the mobs away when doing pulls in a group full of casters no less. At 60. We gave him some advice before the boss to use this and hoped he'd take it but it was to no avail.

If you don't have Provoke it renders all your arguments null and void. The only comeback he had was when I DPSed the sprites to help get LB to my folly that the tank could be capable of actually positioning Hraesvelgr correctly. Since the pillars were scattered so awkwardly as Hraesvelgr destroyed them...

Edit: I was pretty careful about DPSing throughout the run and barely had, but squeezing out a LB and hopefully an extra one to end it more quickly seemed to be a good idea at the time since Hraesvelgr is (usually) pretty simple. But there were just various levels of oh no. Also forgot to add the second image, enjoy the ride.

So in Void Ark as a BLM. At Cetus, I'm in the #1 spot for aggro in my party.

Then something I can't even see, hits me for 7-8k. I have no idea what it was, all I know is that the pups were out at the time. I have 16.6k HP as BLM.

Well, taking such a large hit wasn't all that alarming to me, since I didn't have aggro on anything and it seemed like something the WHMs in my party could easily handle.

Key word: seemed

After several seconds of not being healed, and watching one of the WHMs happily spamming Stone III, I died to another mystery attack that I couldn't see coming. Which I would've survived if I'd received a single heal. Cure. Cure II. Cure III. Benediction. Regen. Tetragrammaton. Assize. Medica. Medica II. Asylum. None of those came my way. But a Swiftcast Raise? Sure!

I just decided not to bother anymore. If these WHMs won't do their bloody job, and just want to DPS, well, I'll just let them DPS. After being raised, for the rest of that fight, until halfway through Echidna, I did nothing but spam Blizzard. I spammed Blizzard on Irminsul when it was completely immune to magic. I used no Ley Lines, no Enochian, no Raging Strikes. Just pure Blizzard spam. In fact, I didn't even bother moving out of AoEs. Why bother?

I stayed at the #5 spot for aggro using nothing but Blizzard spam.

At the end, I got one comm. For spamming Blizzard and refusing to DPS for an entire fight. Nobody said anything. I'm not even sure if they noticed. Once again, it's incidents like these that make me question: Why bother?

Your story reminds me of one time I decided to throw all my cares to the wind. Not my proudest moment, but at the time I was just so burnt out I didn't care.

I was running Void Ark ad nauseum for something, I can no longer recall what, and I'd usually run up as the top dps. One time I decided to say fuck it as I was tired to death of VA, and only used baseline 50 rotations. No Enochian, no Fire IV, no Leylines. Only Fire with the occational Fire III and Blizzard III. I was still top dps for almost every fight, it was pretty sad.

No one said anything either, I guess they just didn't care either. Who knows?

Had a SCH today refuse to use her fairy, asked nicely tried to give the subtle hint that they could be doing X instead of Y. Worst healer I have ever had.

So you decided to trample all over the effort of 23 people because 2 of them didn't get back to healing fast enough?

Look, don't get me wrong, something was probably wrong with the alliance in general if you were still 5th for aggro as an ice mage, but that's just incredibly rude.

Also, aggro says absolutely nothing about performance anyways; you can do amazing DMG but if you pair it with aggro-down skills/abilities, you'll stay at the bottom of the aggro list.

Basically you just assumed they all sucked, then also assumed they sucked because they just didn't care, so it was okay for you to suck too on purpose? And we still wonder why df is such a horrible place..*sigh*

I just lived something extraordinary as a SCH on trial duty, Nidhogg eddition.
2nd healer was an AST who insisted on keeping the Diurnal sect. Not that efficient with a SCH, but whatever, he was above i230 so why not.
Healing was a bit interresting, dude only spamming non-aspected spell and carding only himself, half the party died each time an AoE appeared on the ground, you know, the usual.
At least we were not losing time overriding our shields, which was nice.

After the 3rd wipe to due a lack of dps on the add phase, even though LB was often used, I asked him to switch to Diurnal Sect, so his heal would be a tad more efficient due to the fact that he'll actually use his aspected spell. That way, I would have been able to help with the dps a little. Guy start arguying that if he switched to Diurnal sect, he wouldn't be able to heal anymore. English is not my first languages, so I guessed I misunderstood what he said and started explaining why Diurnal was a good synergy with a SCH, but he instinsted on saying he wouldn't be able to heal anymore with the other sect, like, not at all. Since we're on the Nidhogg fight, I was kinda expecting people to at least had read their skills' description. I know, I shouldn't have said him that... But I after a while, I did. And then... Then it became fascinating.
Dude began to insult me, saying my healing was useless and my fairy sucked ass. He told me I knew nothing and I needed to learn to solo heal before speaking to him again. He litterrally told me I was a aweful healer because I was getting help from a fairy to heal. As a Scholar.

So be careful, some people might blame you for doing your job, and some other for using your job!
