Well, for players who won it in season 1, wouldnt it be questionable why they are in the ranking for season 2 since season 2 and 1 rewards are the same?

I understand that if someone is good on Feast and knows how to read good queues they'll be able to put multiple characters in a single Datacenter top 100. But I also understand that this is rather unfair and removes other player's chances to get the top 100 while ruining even more our already broken Match Making.
They'll be different. And then they'd cycle somehow or just keep changing for next seasons.

Someone with alt said they just don't want other people to get rewards so their lone wolf set (which they already have from season 1) would remain rare and unobtainable for general population. Also I've personally seen one of these bard alts in our party just saying 'afk' at start and sitting, checked lodestone and they were with a healer of opposite team in the same FC. So that also opens a lot of opportunities for open or hidden wintrading to increase their main's ratings.

I agree with this 100% as there is someone on my server who has him and his alt at the top 100 atm and he did it last time for 1st season. why is this even a thing and i know a couple of others who do the same, even with the same name just starting with different letters. I say if this was to happen at least give a warning stating that they already have a character doing rankings and if they wish to do ranking on another character the current rank of the other will be reset to 0 winrate and all.
SE posted this directly to us about a month ago:
Further, the top end positions of the top 100 also carry their own independent rewards (such as the trophy for being top dog).Season Two Rewards
Some players were wondering if the rewards for Season Two of The Feast are going to be the exact same as the first season as we used the same image on the ranking page. The rewards for Season Two will be another full set of gear, and the design will be somewhat different from the first season. The types of rewards rewarded to the players will be changed every two seasons, as we felt having one type of reward only for one season wouldn’t allow a larger group of players to obtain them. Using current example, this means we have two rewards with full sets of gear for season one and two, and a different type of reward for season three and four, and so forth.
That said, even if there weren't any new rewards, it's not like the previous top 100 wouldn't have other reasons to play. Plain old fun would be one I could think of right off the top of my head. A lot of the top players just queue for PvP because they enjoy it. Winning is more fun than losing, so it follows that they would still want to rank up, regardless of if the rewards are still the same.
Its fine if some of the top 100 from the previous season is playing the feast for the fun of it and whatnot, they shouldn't complain about newer players trying to get into the feast or trying to rank up.
I said this last season that it was pretty fked up for people to take spots away from other actual players in the top 100 using alts but this season more than last I actually understand why they do it.
Because of match making the quality of your teammates rises the lower you are ranked and therefore you have far less stressful games, a higher winrate (assuming you yourself are at least a competent player), and generally overall less incompetent teammates than when you reach 800+. Its also very important now compared to last season to know exactly when to queue in order to rank up and having alts allows you to test people in queues by sacrificing the rank on the alt while preserving the one on your main. The people using alts dont care as much about getting multiple sets of the gear (beyond their main) as they do really about playing matches that are competitive and fun most times.
And honestly speaking the luster on that glamour gear wears off so fast, no one cares one way or another whether you have it nor does anyone care about you showing it off since most ppl wont even know what the gear is lol. When I got the glamour last season it was cool for like a day or 2 and then its like "meh this isnt really anything special why did i even care about this in the first place?".

I have absolutely no problem with them playing but its mostly the same people from the previous season making alts over again, I can understand wanting new rewards for their main but why would they want it on their alt ?
There are two reasonings that come for that:
1. I have and alt, I know I'm capable so I want the pretty gear on my other existing character as well.
2. I have an alt, I can PvP with it to prevent other people from getting the glamour.
For the first, leave them be. They are in their right of doing so. It becomes a bit unfair in the case the player is good because they'll pretty much breakthrough ranks and maybe make able that the parties of you get matched with your lower ranked alt stomp your opposing teams and sometimes boosting not so good players' rank together. But thats not their fault, its the matchmaking's fault.
In the second case they can abuse of the poor matchmaking with a lower ranked alt to make sure he occupies more places on the top 100 list and unless a player openly states the second reasoning in game or in forums, I don't think SE can punish them. Sadly.
This discussion only reflects the Feast comunity toxicity (me included).

This is what is bothering me a lot. There are people who really do it because they know they're good and just go in top 100 with it to show how good they are and they don't want others to get the rewards.
