WoW Legion uses FFXI style for relics but FFXIV does not?

Its way faster to obtain an i240 lore weapon and get a i235 relic through palace of the dead than what Yoshi P is refering too as the easier route for casual players.
Palace of the dead is a way more casual route than the anima questline. Do palace of the dead 10 times and you have an i235 relic.
Lets say all ten runs take 10h total to obtain thats still way faster than getting a relic from i200 to i240 (this should be viewed as worst case scenario in palace of the dead no need to read into it so much)
We can all be realistic about that part.

Takes way less than 10 runs. I had 2.5 weapons in 10 runs, just depends on your luck with silver chests.

Have you seen WoWs previous expansion effort? I wouldn't praise anything that development team does until time passes so you know just how bad they're going to mess it up.

Considering how bad they are at balancing specs (or any sort of balance) the very first balance patch of the expansion will be very interesting

As terrible as XIV relics are, they're still better than legion's 'relics' imo, because you aren't forced to do it like you are in legion.

This comparison would hold if Legion artifacts required RNG fate grinds and animus books and all that nonsense.

Actually you probably can do it in 5 but you'll have to go back to the beginning a couple times to get the gear strong enough to progress through all floors first.

I could say alot about what I didn't like about Relic, Mythic, Emp, Adoulin weapons from FFXI. I don't play WoW but I'm sure its not an 2 to 5 year slow grind in a goup to get it done.
