90% of the time I go into expert run, people will need things despite them don't 'needing' it. Frankly, if you're getting item just for the sake of seals/desynthesis, then it should be greed only.As long as you actually need it for whatever reason does it matter be it for glamour(which is what all gear is regardless of level), desynth or seal turn in. If someone actually opens up their mouth and says I need X item then I will pass otherwise I will greed or need items. Also the amount of people that actually greed or need ex items is low, plenty of times I don't bother doing either and still get the items.

90% of the time, people will whine after the items get looted before showing their manner whether they can ask if the other players are willingly to pass the loots.. I'm talking bout greedy entitlement between players..
Had this CS run as AST where my cohealer is a SCH. That SCH kept DPSing the whole time, which normally wouldn't bother me since I can solo heal CS as AST/SCH. But this particular one, I was having trouble because she didnt even have a fairy out and she isn't even healing herself. Suffice to say, it was a rocky ride with people who yolo it and I am solo healing. I know she isn't paying attention because I turned on Noct. Sect right after the first boss.
This one is in Praetorium (Mentor Daily). I ran as SCH and had AST co healer who had Noct. Sect on. He kept cancelling my crit adlos/succor so before first boss, I asked he switch to Diurnal Sect because his current stance is cancelling my barriers and they don't stack. His response? "#### off b*tch".
Some people were talking in linkshell about going to A5 after reset. I had been before with my FC, but we hadn't successfully cleared it. (Got to the last add, but DPS wasn't enough to clear) So I asked if I could join them.
They said "sure" and put together the party.
It had been a while since I went with my FC, so I reviewed the fight.
Even though I "know" what to do, I still can't react in time or do it correctly. And I died often to Gobhook and his rush ability. (Even though I appeared to be behind him. I guess I wasn't fast enough.)
I still can't master when I stand on the tower, especially in the 2nd half of the fight. So another one person helped me out a lot with that.
After, I think, 3 wipes, we finally cleared it. But I was dead at the time. The other members, all, I believe, were veterans, did so well. I was amazed at how good they were.
Raiding Savage content really is on a whole different level. Watching them, compared to myself and my FC, I felt strong respect for them. It must take so much work to learn the fight and do it perfectly like that.
Later, my FC challenged A5 again without me (because I had cleared), but after 2 hours they still couldn't clear it. I'm surprised by the level of difficulty of Savage content!
Furthermore, our FC (myself included) challenged Nidhogg EX again. It's our 3rd time (total 3 hours now), but we still can't clear it. We almost always wipe at the Fang / Claw phase.
Problem is:
1.) Blue DPS doesn't stay away from blue orbs. Get hit by blue orbs or, usually, splash damage when a red player pops the orb.
2.) Red people don't move to the center to absorb the shared damage.
We even sometimes can't clear the add phase because DPS isn't enough. A ranged gets hit by every attack from the Were Dragon. A tank often dies before DPS can kill the first add.
And one or two people die to Cauterize every single time.
Although Nidhogg EX is not as hard, personally, than A5, I can still see how much work and dedication it must take most people to clear it.
I seriously found a new respect for the people who work hard to do these fights.
Why? As far as I can see it, you have the right to roll on any gear, and if you are lucky enough for the dungeon to hand over gear for your job, by all means, take it.
If I wanted to be sure I'd walk away with tank gear, then I'd enter as a tank or simply ask at the start of the dungeon if the crew was cool to pass. Simple as that.
Really, I feel like venting about the RNG never dropping gear you could take would be more reasonable than getting mad at a random healer using need on healer gear. *shrugs*
I'm of the opinion that if you can roll need on it, you have every right to. Anything beyond that is courtesy but it is precisely that - beyond.
The dungeon RNG happened to give you something of your role. It could have just as easily been someone else's and they would have had a right to it. It's good luck, that's all it is. And it evens out, sometimes it's reversed where nothing drops that you want. There are a million reasons to need items besides an actual upgrade: seals (read: anima, ventures), desynth, glamour.
When you didn't communicate with the person rolling need (which you had no right to anyway unless they initiated the conversation as it's none of your business) you have no idea what they need that for, and yet you assume that whatever they're using it for it's less important than what YOU would use it for. That's selfish, you have no way of knowing.
Sucks trying to get tank gear in Brayflox when running as dps. Without fail the tank will need on it.
Horrible tales from Weeping City!
First one is a horror show, I was going with a friend to get their DRG chest. This clueless SMN cat boy continuously died. We had one MCH and the rest of the DPS were SMNs as well, they weren't going to resurrect him and I got tired of wasting my mana so I just plain-out stopped. The other WHM continued to though although if someone is going to be raised only to die ten seconds later, best to just not waste your time and keep the rest of the party alive.
He died three times on the first boss, countless times on the second and twice on Ozma. He even brought a meteor to the tank and caused the second wipe. I had trouble getting orbs because of everyone's wonky positioning and the fact that the other WHM was so focused on keeping the weakest link of the party alive, that he has absolutely NO mana to cover me. People were giving him instructions, he just wasn't following them. Eventually, he and the healer left and there was me.
Well, the party said the worst members are gone and the other two alliances had people chime in saying they wanna continue even though there's one healer in mine... so uh, I went with it and actually no one died. I took the orbs and managed to somehow cover myself. I quickly threw on a stone skin, regen and took an orb > bene > stoneskin > second orb > tetra and then went to take care of whatever else. The rest of the party stayed good with their positioning this time too. On Calofestieri, it wouldn't have been so bad if she weren't spun around a bit but it was far better than it would've been if we had the same WHM and SMN that caused problems beforehand...
Second one was this morning. Yet another clueless catboy but this time, he was the other healer on my alliance. At first he was asking about "How to edit my spam filter" in the chatbox, DURING Mhach. You'd think that he'd take care of this before. And, he kept dying numerous times and said "I am watching videos sry". Either you are full on or full off, not bothering to give the courtesy of paying attention and having everyone else do the work is awful. The tank had problems too, since he even got the wrong add on Forgall.
After that horrible experience, me and my DRG friend decided to just go and leave, it's not worth the stress dealing with that group.
God, I keep running into crap like this... often.

Weeping city. Get stuck with a White Mage that only uses Medica II and nothing else. Just why?
