This would be the worst idea ever. A final fantasy noob would not even know how to play their new lvl 50 job. Just a dumb idea.
EVERYONE QUIT POSTING HERE SO THE THREAD GOES AWAY

First off, don't rub me in with those MMO virgins. I've dabbled in playing DD and support, but the one role I've always been adept at was being a tank.People are already terrible at the game as is, how would you like playing with people who instantly levelled their class to 50? The road to your first 50 is not supposed to be work, it's for experiencing all parts of the game and learning how to play your class.
People who complain that exping is slow are doing it wrong.
Secondly, I seriously doubt there's a wrong or right way to leveling up efficiently. It almost sounded as though you were advocating some sort of PLing yourself.
now with all the powerleveling going on, I see someone with all jobs to r50 the same as I see a new player with all jobs at r1
lol ,,
You know what? I'm thinking about making a petition to give players the choice to start with max gil.
Making gil is kinda boring.
This is the ridiculous petitions topic, right?
I haven't gone over the whole thread to find this out, but you guys understand the OP was being facetious to make a point right? *Sigh*
Your idea is better than what we have now.
But I'd rather nerf PL, bring back level sync and make everyone work their way through early-mid game. Dedication being the keyword.
This is the most retarded idea i've ever heard.
The problem is there isn't alot of progression milestones right now. In FFXI you had subjob @ 18, jeuno/chocobo @ 20, advance jobs @ 30, AF @ 50. Also you had garrison, eco warrior, missions, and quest to fill the gap between 1-50. Another thing was zone progression. When you level 1-50 in the same enviroment things can become stale.
SE is working on fixing these problem but we are still a few months off till we reach that point.
